AN: Yeah I'm back with a new story, though I've been on a long hiatus for the people who don't know me so yeah. Also just to tell you all right now, since this is an Alternate Universe, a lot of things will change. So don't get pissed off because it isn't canon.

Summary: While being chase by a mob Naruto falls off a cliff and dies, but he's revived by an unlikely being who decides to train him.

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, if I did I wouldn't make Sasuke into a freaking overpower freak!

Outside of Konoha:

Saying Naruto was scared and tired was a big understatement. He was running out of breath and he was frightened like hell. The young boy was between the age of five and six and his small leg could only make him run so far. The small, but pissed off mob, had chased him outside from the closed space of the Konoha walls, and into the wild and open world of the forest.

Naruto was hiding behind a tree. He took a peek from his cover and saw the mob still there trying to look for him. Naruto gulped at the sight. "Okay I'll try to make a break for it, and try to get back into the village walls." Naruto thought to himself. Naruto gulped and started to run away from the mob.

"There's the demon! Get him!" Naruto heard one of village yell, like a flag telling the racer to go faster, Naruto did just that. Unknowing to him Naruto was running away from Konoha then heading towards it.

Naruto heard the running footsteps of the mob coming closer to him this only made Naruto more scared. Naruto yelled out loud as he was being chased by the mob. Tears started to flow from his eyes and down to his cheeks.

Naruto turned and saw a clearing between two trees. Naruto cheered up as he saw the opening and in the moment of excitement he jumped in-between the two trees. He quickly lost his happy face which was replaced by a majorly sad and angry face.

Naruto had jumped over a cliff that seemed to be bottomless. Naruto quickly fell to his doom. He screamed and waved his arms franticly trying to grab on to something, but there was nothing to grab on to. The last thing Naruto saw as he fell to his doom was the faces of the mob, they were all happy. They were smiling at him, some laughing at him, they were enjoying his death. Naruto couldn't hold his tears back and sent out a loud wail at the mob, this only made them laugh even more.

Naruto closed his eyes, and the last thing he felt was the hard ground hitting him like a big punch, or slap to the body. Uzumaki Naruto was dead.

30 minutes later:

Nero was an unhappy man. He had decided to take a walk only to get an alert of an unexpected death. He had rushed to where the death had taken place. He had silver hair and wore a dark robe that covered his body which had a hood that hid his hair. He wore a mask that resembled a skull.

When he had reached the death, which only took thirty minutes, he saw the life less body of Uzumaki Naruto. He kneeled down next to the child's body and lifted his right hand. He started to chant something and in a quick movement, he stabbed his right hand into Naruto's chest. He slowly lifted his arm out from the boy's chest to reveal that he was holding onto the boy's heart.

The heart was strange though, it looked like any other heart, but there was a small clock in the middle of the heart that had stopped. "50 years too early for you to die kid." Nero said. He used his thumb and pressed the small clock and as if it was fixed the clock started to move again. Nero placed his hand back into Naruto's chest and placed his heart back in place.

Nero stood up and yawned. "I need someone to train soon." Nero said to himself and started to walk away from the now unconscious boy. Nero stopped in place after hearing something weird. Nero turned around to the boy and walked back to the boy. He had heard something that most would be considered strange, even by reapers, he had heard two heart beats.

Nero lifted the boy shirt up and a nicely placed seal there. He took off his mask to reveal a face that had many scars that was given by countless battles. He smiled at the seal. "So I saved Minato's son, and my new student." Nero said as he lifted Naruto's body taking him to his home.

…

Nero's Home:

Naruto was tired, he slowly lifted his eyes open, but failed as his eyes just closed shut again. Naruto tried again, this time he was much more successful, but he quickly close his eyes again as the room he was in was to bright. He put his hand over his eye lids and only took a peek instead of opening his eyes.

The room was empty with only machines that you would only see in a mad man's home or in the hospital. "Where the hell am I?" Naruto thought as he observed the room. He found a door during his search.

Naruto reached out to it but stopped as he was about to touch the door knob. Naruto's eyes widened as he felt a chilling breeze flowing through him. He then felt fear in him making Naruto walk back from the door. "Wh-wh-what the hell is this." Naruto said as he hold himself. He was scared and his face made sure that he was scared.

"So you're awake, eh?" Naruto heard a chilling voice from behind. He turned around to see no one there.

"Who are you?!" Naruto asked. He was getting scared and that voice had send a cold chill down his spine that he couldn't get rid of. Naruto looked around the room. After and few minutes of silence he felt a cold hand on his shoulder. Naruto eyes widened and slowly turned his head around only to see a man with silver hair wearing a robe and scars all over his face.

Naruto's face turned pale and he let out a terrified scream. The man punched Naruto on the nose, knocking Naruto out yet again. "Damn loud mouth brat, I'm starting to reconsider making this kid my apprentice." Nero said looking down at Naruto. Nero sighed and placed his skull mask on. He dragged Naruto back on the bed and left Naruto there sleeping, this time turning of the light.

AN: So there's the first chapter of my new story, Grim Reaper. Just to remind you again this is an alternate universe so this will have little things in-common with the canon so yeah. Remember to review and constructive criticism that will help me write me better are welcome.
