AN: Hey All! Sorry for the drop in updates I've been really busy with family, work, getting ready to travel, and then actually traveling. As a little apology to you guys I'm posting my travel journal and this "intro-story" Naruto, Hero God. I was going to post this a long time ago, like years ago, but that was before I lost the SD card that contained the actual story that this intro story goes to. Maybe when I have more time I'll see if I can rewrite the story from memory. Once again Sorry! and have an awesome day!

...Squeak...Clack...Squeak...Clack...Squeak...Clack...Squee...

"Alright Ladies and Gentlemen, we'll make camp here at this shrine for tonight!" yelled the leader of trade caravan as he pulled the reigns on his wagon.

As everyone started busying themselves making camp a boy on horseback trotted up to the lead wagon and asked the leader "Hey old-timer, what's so special about this shrine? Why not keep going? We still have plenty of daylight."

Chuckling the leader replied " You're that new caravan guard we picked up arnt you? This your first time on the Konoha run?" The guard nodded as the leader continued,

"You remember seeing all those little statues on the sides of the road, the ones of the little toads, snakes, and slugs?" Once again the guard nodded

The caravan leader continuing, "Well this shrine and it's sister shrines pay respect to the Three Sages of Konoha, The Sannin, Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru. And it's also customary to pray at these shrines so you can make it past Onbaa territory safely."

Laughing the guard asked, "Are all people from Fire country so superstitious or religious? And I thought Onbaa were a myth."

Smiling the leaders replied, "I'm from Nami kid, and no the Onbaa are not a myth, I've seen a whole family of them with my very own eyes," pausing the leader added "and as for who the people of Fire Country believe in, you have your standard Gods and Kamis, The Sannin, but also they pray to the Fifteen Shinobi Gods."

Looking at the guards blank expression the leader explained, "Well outside of Fire Country they are probably known as The Fifteen Guardians or Paragons of Konoha you have Sarutobi Hiruzen the God of Shinobi, Kiba the God of Loyalty, Shino the God of Logic, Hinata the Goddess of Mercy, Ino the Goddess of Beauty, Choji the God of Strength, Shikamaru the God Intelligence, Ten Ten the Goddess of Accuracy, Lee the God of Youthful Hard Work, Neji the God of Family, Shinta the God of Sacrifice, Sai the God of Love, Naruto the Hero God, Sakura the Goddess of Teamwork and Sasuke the God of Duty. Hell, they even have giant statues of them along the wall and inside the Village of Konoha."

"That's quite the pantheon, Sai God of Love? What use do shinobi have for a God of Love?" The guard joked as he poked at the campfire with a stick.

Laughing the leader replied "Remember kid he's a Shinobi God, it's not as lovey dovey as it sounds," the leader quoted from the memory of childhood stories "...there was no one who loved the seat of the Hokage, Konoha, and Fire Country more than Sai and thus he was granted the title, God of Love, for with his love he could accomplish the most great and terrible of things in the name of Konoha..."

Sighing the leader added, "This is going to be a long night, how about I tell you of the stories we tell in Nami, it starts like this, '...Only time can teach us what is truth and what is legend. Sometimes truths do not survive the ages. But The legend of the child with the blue eyes will live forever and be whispered in all four winds of the Great Bridge.."
