Princess Serenity was sitting in the window seat staring out into the rain.
She was in the Royal Palace on Earth.

"Serenity! Serenity!" called Queen Serenity. "Yes, Mother?" she replied. "I have news for you! You are to be married to Prince Endymion of Earth! Aren't you happy?" said Queen Serenity sadly. Princess Serenity had already run out of the room. She sat on her bed and cried for hours. "I don't even know him! How am I supposed to love him when I love someone else?" she said to herself. She had been to earth before, of course. She thought it was beautiful. She had been to earth several times- she loved it there. One time while she was there, she was wandering around and found herself in a beautiful rose garden full of white and red roses. She felt like she was in a dream. She was startled when a young man about 18 years old came around the corner. He was very handsome, with deep blue eyes, black hair and a muscular body. She instantly fell in love. She kept coming back to the rose garden every night to be with the guy. She never knew his name though, and he never knew hers. Each time she came back they fell ever more in love.

Serenity's mother had told her all about earth and how wonderful it was. She knew all too well how wonderful earth was. She was to live in the palace for two months until the wedding. So she left the Moon Palace and went to live in the Earth Palace. When she got there she instantly loved it but hated the fact that she would b marrying the prince instead of her nameless lover. Every night though she would sneak out and meet her lover every night in the rose garden. They kept falling in love but they didn't know they were destined to marry each other, the Moon Princess and the Earth Prince. The day of the wedding was drawing closer, but Serenity knew no matter how much she tried to love someone else she would never be able to love another. Her Sailor Scouts came and tried to cheer her up saying that the Prince was very handsome, but it didn't matter she was still down in the dumps. As the date drew nearer, the countdown to the wedding began.
