I was just kind of randomly inspired to write this... I hope you like it! It's pretty short.

Karin squeezed her knees close to her body and tried to steady her breath. Just as she felt she was calming down a strike of lighting slashed through the air and lit up the night sky, casting shadows across her walls as if taunting her. Karin screamed and shot off her bed. She took off out of her room. She didn't know where she was going but she didn't want to stay in there.

Somehow she ended up in Kazune's doorway, shaking from fright. Kazune, who had been awakened by Karin's screaming, drowsily sat up in bed.

"What is it Karin?" He asked the terrified girl.

"I…I…" she stammered finding that her quivering lips wouldn't form whole words.

Kazune wiped his arm across his eyes sleepily and yawned still half asleep, "What's wrong?" he murmured again his voice barely audible.

Karin's eyes were tearing up, "I'm scared!" she cried.

Kazune scooted over in his bed, "Come here." Karin walked over to him. "There's nothing to be afraid of…" Karin climbed into his warm bed. Kazune put his arm around her, "You'll be safe with me…" he mumbled then he was asleep again.

Karin snuggled into Kazune's chest, it was true, she did feel safe here. So, in Kazune's protective arms, she fell asleep.

-----

The sun streamed in from Kazune's window and made him open his eyes. As his sight readjusted to the light he noticed something. He suddenly shot up; "Karin!" He exclaimed. Lying there in his bed fast asleep was Karin. Kazune blushed, when had she come into his room? (Kazune was still half asleep when Karin had come in so he doesn't remember it happening.)

Slowly, Karin opened her eyes to see the flustered Kazune staring down at her in shock. She sat up suddenly, this wasn't her room. Then she remembered what happened last night.

Kazune watched Karin, "What are you doing in here?"

Karin blushed; she didn't want to admit to Kazune that she was scared of the storm, "I just…" She laughed nervously and jumped out of the bed, "I must've been sleep-walking!"

"Right…" Kazune said slightly suspicious.

"I should…I should go…" a blushing Karin ran out of the room.

-----

"Wow, that storm last night was pretty scary wasn't it?" Himeka asked at breakfast.

"No big deal." Karin said blushing.

"I heard it's gonna storm like that again tonight." Himeka said trailing her fork around her plate.

Karin laughed nervously, "Well, great, 'cause I'm not scared!" she lied.

Kazune smiled secretively, "Yeah, no one's scared with me around."

Karin's face reddened and she turned to him surprised. So he did remember after all! Himeka looked back and forth between them both confused but Kazune and Karin just smiled at each other in their unspoken understanding.
