Ianto killed the engine and turned to Jack, "One more time."
Jack sighed, "your sister Sarah is married to Fred, they have one daughter, Isabella, are expecting another one. Your identical twin, Gavin, is married to his partner Kenneth, and are planning to adopt next month."
Ianto nodded, "Mom and Dad then?"
Jack groaned dramatically, "Your mam is Italian and met your welsh father as a junior researcher at UNIT, your dad was the Brigidier at the time, but now owns his own tailoring shop, much to your mother's chagrin."
Ianto nodded, satisfied, " Mind mom's and Aunt Glenys catfights, they usually involve food, and Aunt Gleny's has been favoring flying danishs lately."
Jack gave a startled cry, making Ianto snicker as he jumped out the car. A small black blur flew across the greener-than-green lawn, announcing it's presence with gleeful cries of, "UNCLE IANTO!"
Ianto beamed brightly and scooped the little girl into his waiting arms.
"Morning Cariad, been a naughty girl, annoying mum?"
The little girl giggled, nodding, her black curls bouncing and contrasting against Ianto's white shirt.
"That's my girl!"
He carried her with practiced ease over to Jack, who looked uncomfortable to say the least. "Can you say hello to the Captain?"
The little girl just smiled shyly and buried her face in the crook of Ianto's neck.
Ianto rolled his eyes, ready to apologize, but Jack stopped him.
"You're Isabella right? Do you like lollipops?"
The six year old raised her head apprehensively and cocked an eyebrow, Jack was already beginning to see the resemblance to her and Ianto.
She nodded slowly as if she were frightened to say yes.
The captain produced a grape lolly from one of his many coat pockets, and Isabella brightened and relaxed visibly.
"How did you know Grape's my favorite?" She asked quietly, eyebrow still cocked in position.
Jack showed mock-surprise, "Grape's your favorite too?"
The girl wriggled out of Ianto's grasp, giggling gleefully, and ran towards the house.
Ianto shook his head, "animals love you, old people love you, and children love you, how do you do it?"
Jack grinned his tradmark 100-watt smile, "Who couldn't love this mass of perfection?"
Ianto smiled, "Certainly not I."
Ianto realized what he had said, but suddenly he didn't want to take it back, he loved Jack, and he didn't care if he got burned in the process.
