DISCLAIMER: Lost Boys no belongeth to meth.

This was written last year for English class for our poetry unit. I think it's crappy but I got a good mark for my poetry unit, so it must be of some quality, lol. Read it if you wanna.

Friends in the Night

The air, it feels so cool, so crisp, so clean,

The sky is so clear, it looks near and dear,

I walk toward the noise that sounds so mean,

The night is kind unlike my peers that jeer

The carnival scent, it tickles my nose,

The smell, it is sweet like over-ripe pears,

I stop and buy a cotton candy rose,

I enjoy the edible satin hairs

The sounds trailing from the ocean are faint,

Like the murmurs in the hall as I pass,

The blinding lights are anything but quaint,

Cruel, mocking laughter is heard in the mass

I look past the bright, blurry, blending lights,

Hoping I will find them; see them; join them,

My eyes are open, searching for their fights,

I spot their white fangs, like a shining gem

They grin, telling me the mocking will end,

Telling me from now on I will have friends.
