"You sure you're going to be able to pull this off?"
"If I can't, I shouldn't be dating one of them."
"Point taken. Move out!"
"Honestly Ginny, keep your voice down!"
"Right. Sorry."

"Ow! What the f—"
"Ronald Weasley don't you date finish that sentence!"
"That bloody hurt!"
"Does this look like a face that cares?"
"… no ma'am."

"Can I go to bed now? I'm tired."
"Harry Potter are you whining?"
"Not only am I whining, but I'm man enough to admit it."
"Yeah mate, whining's real manly."
"Shove off Seamus."
xXxXxXxXx
"Wow guys, this place looks great!"
"So we can all go to bed now?"
"Yup, I'd say you all deserve it."
"Great, cause breakfast is in…two hours."

Fred and George woke up the next morning in an empty dorm. "Di' we over slee'?" George asked through a yawn, sitting up.
Fred squinted at his watch. "No. We're actually early." He grinned. "Happy birthday Gred."
"Happy birthday Forge."
"Shall we head down to breakfast?"
"We shall."
The twins got dressed quickly, throwing their robes on over their shoulders and bound down the stairs to the common room.
"Happy birthday!"
Fourth years and up littered the decorated common room, which was filled with balloons and streamers in vibrant Weasley red. Fred and George cheered along with the crowd, their eyes scanning the sea of people until they spotted the girl they were looking for. They bound over.
"Hermione!" they called together kissing each of her cheeks. Hermione laughed, wrapping her arms around each of them.
"Happy birthday guys!" she said, grinning widely. "What do you think?"
"It's perfect!"
"Absolutely splendid, love," Fred told her. "How on earth did you do all of this in one night?"
"Well Harry, Ron, and Ginny helped. I paid Seamus, Dean and Neville in chocolate frogs. And Lavender and Parvati agreed to help after I promised to tell them all about your present."
Fred looked excited. "What is it?"
"You'll get it later," Hermione told him, grinning. "George, your present is on the couch."
George hurried over to the couch, ripping the wrapping paper off the large box that was waiting for him. "A Muggle pranking kit!" he exclaimed, sounding four years old. "Granger, you're the best!"
"And don't forget it!" she called to him, laughing, before cuddling into Fred's side. "Happy seventeenth, love. You're an adult now."
"Very true."
"Time to start doing adult things."
"Well…"
"Like not testing your product ideas on unsuspecting first years"
"Woah now, Mi," Fred said, moving away from her. "You can't expect miracles to happen overnight."
Hermione rolled her eyes. "Oh shut up. Let's go get breakfast."
xXxXxXxXx
"Can I have my present now?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"Because I'm on my way to Charms."
"So?"
"So! I can't be late for class, Fred!"
"Not even on your boyfriend's birthday?"
"Not even on my boyfriend's birthday."
"Damn."
xXxXxXxXx
"How 'bout now?"
"Fred, I'm trying to eat. Go back to your sweet potatoes."
"There's something else I'd much rather –"
"Finish that thought and die."
xXxXxXxXx
"Hey Fred?"
"Yes Hermione?"
"You can have your birthday present now."
"Actually Hermione, I was really hoping to finish this essay first."
"You can't be serious."
"Course I'm not. Meet you in the back corner of the library in ten minutes."
"Done."

They were kicked out an hour later, clothes mussed and lips swollen, by a red-face Madam Pince but it was Fred's best birthday to date.

I've been trying to type this up since I finished it three days ago, but I've been working and babysitting and unfortunately busy. But tada, here it is. Please leave me a review when you're thoughts!
