"Master!" Ahsoka cried. "Why are you doing this! This isn't you! Snap out of it! Please!"
Anakin turned to her. His eyes, once a bright blue, were now an unnatural gold. "You've betrayed us, Ahsoka. Join me, and together we can rule an empire."
"But the Jedi, Master. You've betrayed them. I haven't betrayed anyone! I have always remained loyal! You are the betrayer!"
He turned, fuming. "The Jedi's time is done. A Republic will never work... we will build the largest empire the galaxy has ever seen."
"The Jedi are never done."
Anakin yelled, and ignited his red lightsaber. He lifted it high above his head, and brought it down to strike. Just in time, Ahsoka ignited her green ones and blocked. They battled fiercely, almost evenly matched. Tears streaming down her face, Ahsoka flipped backwards. For one second, the stood, master and apprentice, staring into each others eyes, breathing heavily.
As if on cue, the sound of a blaster rang out, almost immediately accompanied by a piercing pain in Ahsoka's leg. She dropped to the ground. Six clones ran to Anakin. One removed his helmet, and Ahsoka gasped. "Traitor." she whispered.
"Sir, we came as quick as we could." Rex said. He turned to her, and shot her lightsaber out of her hand. He aimed at her head.
"No," Anakin said. "Let me do it." He pointed his lightsaber at her.
"Master," she croaked. "Why?"
