My Heart Broke When The Kingdom Fell
I started out the window in the car as parents and I drove home from Captin D's,where we ate dinner.Everything was going great that day and it seemed as song nothing could go wrong.When we drove into the driveway of our house,my parent had already went into the house.However I did not,I just saw something on the fence.I thought it was my dog,Kingdom Hearts,trying to get out once again.
Ever since i had gotten Kingdom Hearts about a year ago,she would always try to get out of the backyard.she would go over the fence,under the fence,sometimes through the fence.Then I would have to chase her down and put her back in her doghouse.I thought it was funny though when she just appeared in the front yard.only later did i find out she had went under the fence.As she had gotten older she would get out of her area often.I'd look out the window seeing something black and purple just walking up the hill,it was Kingdom Hearts.
Today something just seemed out of place.I went into the house and found my dad.My dad looked at me with the same angry expression he has on his face 24/7.
"Dad,I think there is something wrong with Kingdom Hearts!"I told him.
Then without another word we quickly walked out to the backyard where Kingdom Hearts stayed.I was hoping Kingdom Hearts was okay.But when i got close to the fence all i saw was her.Kingdom Hearts was dead!She was hanging there with stiff legs,her mouth agape,and her light and dark brown eyes slightly open with a glassy look in them.I had figured that she had tried to climb the fence,the same as she had done many times befor.But this time she had got the chain hooked around the top of the fence and had sliped.Plus, her collar was to tight because my father had tightned it since she kept slipping out of it.Therefore she had to choked to death by her collar in a terrible hanging and an equally horrible death.I didn't know what to think.I come home and find my dog dead on july 5th at 4:38 pm,the day just turned bad fast.
My dad unhooked her collar and took her up the hill where all my other dogs were buried and i followed him.He dug a hole in the ground.When it was deep enough he sat Kingdom Hearts in the newly dug hole and covered her up.
I knew why he buried her there,she had been buried right next to her eight puppies that had died a year befor her.
I slowly walked into the house after spending alittle time at the dog graveyard.It was time for bed anyway for me.Once I had gotten into bed,I guess I didn't go to sleep for a while.I had been thinking about my time i had spent with Kingdom Hearts befor she died.I know i will see her again,somehow.
The kingdom may have fallen,but it will rise up again.
