Annabeth
Annabeth lent over the side of the boat and stared at the horizon. The Argo II was getting closer to Camp Half Blood's roman equivalent, Camp Jupiter, but they were still hours away.
Annabeth was standing next to the room she was staying in for the quest. There was one room for the girls and two rooms for the boys. She knew Percy would bring friends along, so there was 7 beds in total.
From the stables, Blackjack, Guido and Porkpie were neighing louder and louder, until Annabeth thought her head would explode. Calm down, she thought. The boat will land soon and then she'll get to see Percy.
Annabeth could hear the rest of the crew. She could hear Leo yelling, "What's my title? Am I like admiral, or captain, or-". Before he could finish his sentence Piper shouted back, "Repair boy".
"Very funny, Piper. So yeah, I'm... ah... supreme commander of the Argo II. Yeah I like that!".
"Anyway," Leo continued, " we're gonna be sailing toward you in about, I dunno, an hour in this big mother warship. We'd appreciate it if you'd not, like, blow us out of the sky or anything. So okay! If you could tell the romans that. See you soon. Yours in demigodishness, and all that. Peace out."
"What was that?" she asked, walking over to Jason, Leo and Piper. "It was a message to camp," Jason told her. "We figured you wouldn't want to talk, since Percy would see the message." "Thanks a lot, and I really mean that." She left the deck to sit in the ships library.
Annabeth spent the next hour reading and talking to Piper. She felt so nervous seeing Percy after so long, it was nice having someone to talk to. "I've been on a quest on a boat once before, my second quest with Percy, we went to the the Sea of Monsters," she told Piper. In a second, Pipers face showed an expression of terror.
She thought about that quest, the Laistrygonian Giants, the bronze bulls, Stymphalian Birds, Rainbow and the other Hippocampi, the Hydra, the CSS Birmingham, Scylla and Charybdis, the Sirens, Circe's Spa, Polyphemus, the Golden Fleece and who could forget Tantalus, the world's least favourite camp activities director.
She must of been grinning because Piper asked her something, although she couldn't hear. "Sorry, What did you say?" Piper looked a little irritated, but she asked her question again. "isn't that the Bermuda Triangle?" "Yeah, so?" "Well," she said curiously, "Don't a lot of ships disappear there, so wouldn't it be dangerous..." It felt more like a statement then a question. "There was a lot of danger, but at least we survived, that's what matters." Piper returned to her book, while Annabeth got lost in her thoughts.
After an hour, Leo and Jason appeared on the deck. "Ladies and gentleman, we have arrived..." Leo said a bit hastily. "Welcome to Camp Jupiter." He quickly muttered something, Annabeth only caught a sentence, heading to the heart of the storm. She didn't need to hear that to know that this camp was very war-like and that she and the rest of them were at risk, but all she wanted was to see Percy. "Lets go then," she said as she strided down the boardwalk towards the crowd of people below.
