Rin never was one for fancy things. Of course she liked how they looked, and thought they were nice, but she never thought she would ever wear something quite like this.
"Oh Kagome, is it really okay? I mean, does it look okay on me?" she asked nervously. Kagome laughed. She put her hands on Rin's shoulders and turned her to face the mirror. Rin's hair was set in the same style as Kagome's, one very loose french braid stretching down nearly to her waist.
Her dress was a soft violet color. The collar was made of creamy-white lace, and the sleeves were thin lilac straps. There was a lighter shade of purple fabric sash set across the center of the dress and the bottom fell smootly along with the shape of her petite figure.
"The perfect bridesmaid! And if anyone should be nervous, it should be me!"
Despite her words, Kagome wasn't nervous innthe least. Rin was a bit jealous. Kagome had found the man of her dreams.
The wedding ceremony went faster than Rin expected. Before she knew it, the couple had sealed their promise of eternal love with a chaste kiss.
Soon enough, Kagome was preparing to throw her bouqet. She never been athletic, and when threw the flowers as high as she could, they went backwards over her head, falling right in front of Rin.
Many unmarried young girls came charging after them. But they were far away from the flowers, and their fancy attire did not help improve their speed. Almost as a reflex, Rin felt her arms reach outward and grab the bouqet.
The audience cheered for her. Kagome smiled. Not wanting to ruin the moment, Rin tried not to laugh. There was no chance she would get married anytime soon. She had never even kissed a boy, let alone had a lasting relationship. Though the flowers may have meant the world to another person, they meant nothing at all to Rin.
The dance began soon after. Everyone cheered when Inuyasha and Kagome took each other's hands and began moving to the music. Rin was surprised that Inuyasha even could dance.
Miroku somehow managed to dance with a few girls at a time, Sango trailing angrily at his heels.
Shippo was playing tag with Sota and their other elementary friends.
A man with long silver hair was weaving among the people, not saying much, just walking. Rin noticed him. She was a little confused about what she felt towards this strange, silent man, but something about him caught Rin's eye.
"Kags, who's that man with the long hair that looks like Inuyasha's?" she asked, nudging her friend.
"You dont already know?" asked Kagome, surpised.
"No, I don't."
"Why, thats Inuyasha's half brother, Sesshomaru. I would've sworn Id introduced the two of you before..."
Rin left and followed the man who's name she had learned was Sesshomaru.
After the wedding, and all through the day, Rin thought of this mysterious man. And when it got late, these thoughts faded to dreams. And so ended the day Rin met Sesshomaru.
