Author's Notes: I've always wanted to do a Naruto fic starring, well, Naruto, that gives a glimpse of his more serious, angsty side. I think I achieved that in here. This fic is a bit of an introspective on what Naruto might have been feeling about Sasuke leaving Konoha, and this happened sometime between his training with Jiraiya and his return to Konoha. Written in Naruto's point of view. I hope you like this as much as I like writing it.
Rain
I never really liked the rain.
It
never really made things better...just worse.
Ruins a
good, sunny day. Disrupts the normalcy of everyday life.
Turns
everything a little bit gloomier than they're supposed to be.
The
wind...cold and uncaring.
The
thunder...too forceful, too loud, too angry.
The
downpour enough to dampen anyone's mood.
I was
in the woods when it started to pour down.
And I
began to run, frustrated, angry...a little sad.
It
always rained whenever I trained. I just...hate it.
Reminds
me of that day...when I failed to save a friend.
And in
that moment in time, when I was trying to get away from the
rain...everything just stopped.
Enough.
I've had enough.
Why
does it always rain when I train?
Why is
it that everything I'm doing amounts to nothing?
Why did
he leave?
Why do
I refuse to accept the fact that he won't come back whatever I do?
Why do
I even try?
I
looked up at the sky.
And let
it out. Let it all out.
The
anger, the pain, the misery...and the sheer weight of it all.
"AAAAAAHHHHHH!"
I closed my eyes as the heaven's tears joined with my own and fell to the ground in one sorrowful torrent.
I never
really liked the rain...until now.

Ending notes: Sorry if this is a bit melodramatic, or the sentences just feel too chopped up. I just write this way sometimes. I've also translated this to Filipino(which is my native language), so, to all those Filipino Naruto fans who'll read this, maybe you'd like to read that as well, when I upload it.
