Ash Ketchum was currently trailing after his mom, recently returned from his Sinnoh journey. After the league championship was over, he decided to return home for a well deserved(and don't we all know short) break from travelling. And not just him, all his companions and ex-companions who heard about the mass sleepover decided to take the trip out and see Kanto. Needless to say, Delia and Mr. Mime were a bit surprised when Ash walked in followed by Brock, Misty, Gary, Ritchie, May, Max, Dawn, and for whatever reason Paul and Barry.

What had really gotten them into trouble was a training session they had the week before. The whole group had been going out to the forest near professor Oak's lab to train and Delia had gone by to check on them and bring them some lunch, only to find all the trainers sitting on folding chairs in the shade relaxing and shouting out commands to the Pokémon, working hard in the midday sun.

Ash thought he was getting some real work done on Gible's dragon claw when he suddenly heard a shout from nearby.

"What do you all think you're doing!?"

They turned to find Delia storming over holding a picnic basket, scowling.

"Mom! We're just training"

"What kind of trainers are you, sitting in the shade, lazing around while your poor Pokémon do all the work?"

The whole group was silent.

"You all need to learn a lesson in putting some effort with your Pokémon"

She stared the mall down, when she suddenly had an idea. Her face broke out into a devious smile causing many of the young trainers in front of her to sweat drop out of fear.

"And I know just the guy to teach you all. Well, see you at home everybody"

And with that she turned and left, humming.

"Ash, your mother is scary" Paul commented, breaking the silence.

"I'm afraid, I mean, what do you think she's gonna do to us?" Max said hiding behind Blaziken, running through various torture scenarios in his head.

"Ms. Ketchum wouldn't do anything that horrible to us...right?" Misty ventured, hugging Azuril, but Ash was too busy internally freaking out to hear her.

Before the group went back to Ash's house, they stopped by the professor's house, who grimaced when they explained what had happened and after they left, silently wished them all good luck, since they'd most certainly need a lot.
