Yes, I know, my Valentine's fic is a few months late. Forgive me.

It was a gaudy thing, covered in lace, glitter, rhinestones, conversation hearts, paper hearts, the works. The valentine to end all valentines. There was so much on the thing it was beginning to drive its creator mad. You see, he'd failed to bring into account that there would be writing on it. Fatal mistake.

A chuckle came from the doorway where Takato had been watching his partner scissor and glue for at least an hour, and was now receiving the fruits of his patience. Who would've believed that Guilmon could have a panic attack? Oh, it wasn't a big one, just enough of one to be humorous, but it was still a panic attack. Personally, the tamer felt that over twenty candy hearts saying 'Be Mine' and 'Yours 4Ever' and all variations in-between got the point across, but no the red dino-dragon wanted his feelings written down and on that piece of colored paper. He'd taken on quite the challenge.

His claws made writing hard enough for the poor thing without having to get an 'I' through three candy hearts and a rhinestone sapphire. Ten minutes of staring at the big red heart hadn't done him any good, it only served to give the rookie a bit of a headache, which wasn't the way he had planned to spend the day. Not at all. Tossing a forlorn look at the human in the doorway and letting an audible sigh leave his muzzle he got up and started to pace. Terriermon had told him that was what Lopmon did when she was trying to figure things out.

Five minutes and he froze, suddenly bolting back to the offending show of affection. It had been so obvious! It could be done! Grabbing a navy blue colored pencil Guilmon set to work with a grin, outlining the letters in waves and curls around the decorations. Deaf to the world, no notice was taken of his human leaving the room with another chuckle of his lips.

'As long as he's happy…'

A rose petal blush blossomed across light cheeks when the heart was presented to it's intended. With not a little uncertainly it was retrieved from his outstretched hands, new owner taking the time to read the message and hearts as the blush deepened, feathering out quickly. The other digimons tail was making small twitches to the left and right. Goldenrod eyes followed the fingers that traced out the white lace edging. (Not that fake paper lace, but real lace. He couldn't remember where he got it, but it had seemed only right to use the real thing.) He was starting to get uncertain himself as he waited for something to happen. Rejection, acception, something.

'Just say something, anything, please.'

One twitch at the corner of the mouth, then a good-natured smirk, then a small smile. Finally, gem eyes connected with his and a free hand reached out to him. Melting under the claws skritching around behind his ear he smiled back at the center of his attachment.

"Love you too, Pineapplehead."

I am so getting flamed for this. I just know it. I may have to flame myself. Can't believe I wrote an ImpGuil…

This is just up here for my convenience, I'm at school and can't get it to my home computer without going through , so once I get it all triple checked and stuff this'll be replaced by the final copy. Not that that does you much good now.

Well, hoped everyone who read it liked it. For everyone who read thinking it would be a RenaGuil or something, sorry, it isn't gonna happen. Just not a fan. Anyone who would like to take this story and expand on it is free to do so, no credit or anything needed, all I ask is that you message me and tell when you put it up. I've noticed that I chronically write short oneshots and would like to see what someone who writes longer stories could do with this.

Thanks for reading, have a nice day. RR&Critique if you'd please.
