Title: Six Drabbles
Summary:
What the title says.

Collide- Howie Day (Shawn - Hunter)

"So, where do you wanna go?"

"No where."

"We just sit here then?"

"Why not?"

He was unreadable, a closed book. He looked sad as well, so damn sad. And no matter what he said or did, it never went away, that deep down unhappiness.

He wasn't usually so quiet, never had been during their first meeting and never since then. But a lot had changed since then. They'd both changed.

In many ways, they weren't at all alike, but the one thing that bound them together was how much they loved the business. They were like a branch coming from a tree, they couldn't survive without the trunk and wrestling was their trunk. Without it, they'd wither and die. Without each other too. Because they pulled each other through so much. Even if he didn't know it, Shawn had helped him too.

*

New Soul- Yael Naim (Shawn- religious tones)

I feel like a new person.

I know some people think I'm faking everything I've said since I was born again, but I'm really not. What would that gain me? Nothing.

I was fine being a bastard to everyone who crossed me and I slept just fine at night, but now, I see things differently. I can see I did a lot of things wrong and I'm sorry for that, but I don't hold myself accountable to anyone, except the Lord and my kids.

So I'll keep going with happiness in my heart and what feels like a new soul. Unburdened.

*

Chocolate- Snow Patrol (Shawn- early career)

The wrestling business is weird.

I'm Shawn Michaels out here.

I'm something different to what I am when I'm away from the ring. I'm not sure if I like it. I mean, I love the wrestling, but do I love the way I've changed? It's not like I'm corrupt or anything, but I no that it's a little too late for me to change.

I'm not sure what I'm becoming and I don't think I can turn back.

But I'll do whatever I can to make it.

*

Toxic- Britney Spears (Bret- Shawn- Hunter)

"You're a disgrace to the company you know, poison."

"Yeah, okay."

"You make the whole company look like a bunch of pussies."

"Don't you get it that I don't care. I'm what's new here, not you."

"I'm not going anywhere, you fag."

"What's it with you and the gay thing? How insecure are you? Not like you don't get laid every town anyway."

"Fuck you."

"C'mon Shawn, let's just you shut up and go."

"You know I'm toxic, huh Bret?"

"You pollute everything."

"And I'll destroy you and your world, baby."

*

I predict a riot- Kaiser Chiefs (Shawn- Hunter)

"You be careful out there." Hunter said.

"What?"

"Cutting a heel promo in Montreal. Mentioning Bret Hart. You're asking for it."

"Come on, it'll be fun."

"For you maybe." Shawn smirked. "You're loving this aren't you?"

"I haven't done a proper heel promo for ages, I'm gonna enjoy it while I can!"

"If you cause a riot don't expect e to come save you."

"I thought we were on the same side about this one."

"That's true."

"Time to go."

"Hey Shawn?"

"Yeah?"

"You really gonna sing?"

Shawn nodded "Oh Canada."

"I don't think anyone deserves that!"

*

Mmmmm mmmmm mmmmm mmmmm- Crash test dummies (Hunter- Shawn)

"Hey, is everything okay." There was clear worry in his voice.

"Yeah."

He looked him over, as though he didn't believe him. "I saw the car."

"It took the worse hit." Shawn agreed.

"You don't feel bad at all."

"A little sore." Shawn rubbed his neck at the same time. "It's fine, nothing serious."

"You scared the hell out of me."

"Well, it wasnt really my fault was it."

"I know, just someone started shouting about the car being smashed and I didn't really think clearly."

"I'm fine. The driver was worse off than me, he was freaked out. The other cars driver was drunk."
