"You like it honey?"
"I didn't expect this." Rebecca said.
"You don't like it?" Shawn asked, sounding a little disappointed.
"I love it, I'm just.... surprised."
"I couldn't resist." Shawn gently stroked the labrador puppy in his arms.
"You honestly think I don't have enough to do round here looking after two kids, huh?" Rebecca asked playfully, nudging Shawn.
"I know you don't. You need something cute and adorable to fill in when I'm not here." He said, a grin on his face.
"Our children aren't cute and adorable to you?"
"They have their moments. But come on, dogs never learn to speak, so they're better."
Rebecca rolled her eyes at her husband as he passed the choclate coloured dog to her. "She is cute. What's her name?"
"I've not named her." Shawn said, shrugging.
Rebecca moved through to the play room where their children were currently playing together. "Look what Daddy's bought home, kids."
They both turned round and shot over to see the new arrival, gently storking the little creature.
"What shall we call her?" Rebecca asked.
"Brownie, because she's brown." Cheyenne said."
"No, no." Cameron said excitedly. "Cookie!"
"Cookie?" Rebecca asked.
"It's Dad's favourite food!" Cameron said, a cheeky grin on his face.
"Hey!" Shawn said.
Rebecca put the puppy down and it started to run about, playing with the kids.
"Is it that obvious?" Shawn asked.
Rebecca smiled. "I love you, despite the cookie obsession."
Shawn grinned at his wife, kissed her. "It is my only vice!"
