I don't own anything. I got it the first time. How about my costume? I own that don't I?
Challenge 5: Holiday Traditions
Trick or Treating
"Stella are you positive you can't come trick or treating this year or go to the Horace Mantis Halloween Haunt," Macy asked Stella for the fifth time in a row as she searched for kitten ears while web-chatting with her.
"I'm sorry Macy," Stella apologized, again, "I'm grounded for my gym grade until Tuesday. Oh and your ears are on your head, if you're wondering where it is." Macy felt her head then took off the headband.
"Why don't you ask the guys to come with. You're finally good friends with them. That and I heard Joe and Kevin had some pretty cool costumes."
"What about Nick? Doesn't he-"
"No. He'll come with you though. Otherwise Joe might do something crazy. Again. Besides, Nick really wants to hang with you more. Who knows why but he does. I gotta go, my time is up on the computer. See you on Monday, Macy. Save me some candy and food?"
Macy laughed and replied, "Sure, Stel. See you." She logged off and went in front of the mirror to put the final piece in place.
"Macy are you ready," her mom called out.
"Yeah Mom. I'm coming." She quickly checked one last time before running downstairs, grabbing her bag, and saying goodbye to her parents.
"Boys Macy is here," Mrs. Lucas called up, then asked her, "Are you sure you'll guys will be okay? Kevin and Joseph can be a handful on Halloween."
"It'll be fine Mrs. Lucas," she assured her, "Besides Nick is coming with us so it's double the guarding."
She chuckled a little, then the three boys came downstairs via pole. Macy giggled a little when she saw the two older brothers' costumes. Kevin was dressed simply as a bottle of ketchup, a red long sleeve under; Joe was dress as Kelly Kapowski with the hat, glasses, shirt, and skinny-jeans to replace the short-shorts. Nick was, of course, himself, wearing a blue plaid shirt, jeans, and converse. He smiled a little, greeting Macy and saying goodbye to mom before leaving. They went down to the neighborhood, Kevin, Joe, and Macy getting candy and saying hi to fellow friends. An hour later, the guys got to the school, decorated right for the occasion. They put their bags in their lockers before heading to the haunted house's start.
"Hey Kev and I are gonna get a head start in the maze," Joe said.
"Okay make sure you don't wet your pants," Nick joked drly, Macy stiffling a giggle. Joe frowned and replied, "Make sure you don't scare your head off. Macy are you coming?"
"Go on ahead guys," she told them, "I'll protect Nick just in case he gets scared." She saw Nick frown at the corner of her eye. Joe chuckled before heading inside, the couple trailing behind.
"So are you really gonna get scared," Macy questioned Nick, arm in arm with him.
"No, but if you want, I'll protect you from the monsters in here," Nick offered. They got into a dead end when the lights dimmed, a scream coming from the darkness. When the lights lit up, Macy found Nick hugging her tightly as he can. She smirked and giggled a little.
"So Nick Lucas doesn't get scared," she stated. Nick's eyes widened let go of her, acting casually before saying, "Please don't tell anyone."
"I promise. Macy Misa can keep a promise."
Nick put his arm around Macy and smiled. "You're the best friend a guy could have Macy."
"Thanks Nick. Now let's keep going before-"
"GUYS!!!!! WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU!! THIS PLACE IS CREEPING ME OUT!"
The two cracked up as they heard Kevin's voice echo.
"Too late."
Lame ending, I know. R&R and Happy Halloween!
