Hi Everybody,

This is actually something I've been working on for a while and have written some music to go with it. I was thinking about the sea longing and this sort of flowed out of that. It's a dialogue between Tar-Aldarion and his wife Erendis as he heads off on his sea voyages and this is eventually what drives them apart. I was thinking that the sea here is almost like the other woman in their marriage.

Hope you enjoy.

Away! Away! Away! Away!

The wind and the shuddering sea

Salt kisses whisper of lands that are new

And the gulls are calling to me

My love don't go, I need you here

The wind and the treacherous sea

Our babe's still young; would you leave your girl?

For the terrible song of the sea

Away! Away! The tide won't wait

The wind and the bountiful sea

I love you dear but I must go

The waves are where I shall be

My dearest one, I love you so

The wind and the troubled sea

Don't leave me now; you'll break my heart

The sea will steal you from me

To the harbour now, Away! Away!

The wind and the shining sea

My heart it breaks, it tears in two

The longing I have for the sea

Away! Away! Away! Away!

The wind and the shuddering sea

The waves they bear my heart away

Don't forget you child and me

Come back to your child and me!
