I do not own Tokyo mew mew (if I did kisshu and ichigo would be together, sorry masaya)

"What would it take for you to be mine?"

Ichigo rolled onto her side. Kicking off her blankets, the girl sat up on the edge of her bed and idly rubbed at her cold arms. Pink eyes gazed out of the frosted bedroom window, recollecting old memories. The longer Ichigo viewed the breathtaking atmosphere of fragile snowflakes descending below the pale moon, the more she could envision herself outside on that same street on this same day hearing those same words echo in her head. She shivered. It was strange how nine words could affect her so greatly.

She stood, figuring she wouldn't be able to fall asleep anytime soon, and slid on her fuzzy slippers. Being mindful of her sleeping parents, Ichigo stayed quiet and crept downstairs remembering to skip over the creaky fifth step. Slowly she opened the coat closet and pulled out her white coat along with a pair of mittens. After getting on her winter wear the restless girl silently left her home.

The view from the window had nothing on the real deal. The streetlights shining down made the snow shimmer in the dark. The ice crystals in the sky danced their way to the ground to lay and pile together. There must have been at least three inches of the white fluff.

"The snow is beautiful, isn't it, Kitten?"

It was. It still is. Ichigo's feet lead her across the street to the slush covered sidewalk leaving light prints behind. Her eyes admired the midnight sky. But most of all, they were fixated on the moon. Somehow among the crystals and stars that peeked through the clouds, the faintly glowing moon stood out the most. Beneath that same moon, a kiss was stolen from her virgin lips.

A laugh rang through Ichigo's ears as she stood frozen from the cold and shock. Kisshu waved a hand in front of the unresponsive girl's face until she blinked with recognition.

"Kisshu!" Obviously, the pink haired girl was furious. Her cheeks that were already red from the chilly weather deepened in shade. She was at a loss for words. The pointy-eared alien knew she had feelings for another man but went against her wishes of staying just friends.

"Sorry, Kitten, seems though I just can't help myself," He apologized with a sly smile.

Subconsciously, she pressed a finger against her lips. It was true, Aoyama had been her childhood crush. But ever since that day, Ichigo never felt quite the same when she was around him. He wasn't the one who was on her mind all the time. He wasn't the one she had sleepless nights over. He wasn't the one who had ruined her with a simple kiss.

"Kisshu," she breathed into the empty night and shut her eyes. As small snowflakes collected on her lashes, Ichigo hoped that someday she would see him again, she had to see him again.

"Hey, Kitten."

A deep throb inside her chest made Ichigo's eyes fly open.

After all, he had stolen her heart.
