I want to shout that I love you, but I can not. I force the words back – for you don't want to hear them – you won't listen. Yet, I desire to scream it. I want every single person in this world to know that I'm just crazy about you.... Oh, my darling, so many years of living in your shadow and crying in vain. Oh my darling, I need you so much.... I still weep for you, but I do it less now. You ease my pain, chase my nightmares away by your mere presence. I am nobody, nothing without you.
Here lying against your chest, I think of us – what a wonder it is, to say «us» at last – and I smile. You make me happy, but there are no words of love spoken between us. We have an implicite deal: that we shall not show that weakness towards each other. So my lips will stay shut. I'll rest by your side again, and we'll live another day, we'll share another night, again and again.
The love I feel, yet so desperately hide, will never fade away.
