Caged, both of them. Both of my boys are caged, caged up by her. She locked
them up, and gobbled down the key, sealing them up. But my Angel is too clever, he persuaded her to give him the key once, and the naughty Buffy did. My Spike wasn't caged then, he was mine still. He escaped, daddy did, went back to his darling Dru. And we nearly sucked the world into hell, but
Spikey got all jealous and teamed up with the gleaming slayer, and she poisoned him with her light. He was never entirely mine after that, but he always said so. He didn't know that I knew better, that I knew of this long
ago. The stars told me of it when my family was rampaging Europe, and I didn't believe it. "The naughty little gleaming stars lie. I should pluck them from the sky and snuff their light." I said to Spike, who was laying
next to me on the soft grass. "They're bloody stupid for lying to you,
pet." He agreed, smiling.
But that was a long time ago; he follows her now, straining for the light
instead of bathing in the dark, where he belongs. The naughty slayer twisted everything; good to bad, bad to good. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. And the lil' lies Buffy planted whispered to my youngest boy like the stars
and Miss Edith whisper to me; and he believed them, did what they said.
Poor Spikey, all kept in the dark where even I can't see him. But his
strings glow, the marionette strings tied 'round his wrists and ankles.
He's Buffy's little marionette, but she's already got one. My boys both hang in her room, and she plays with them whenever she wants, the naughty
little slayer. Should be spanked, spanked 'till Tuesday for her antics.
Maybe I should pay her a visit, yes, stick her with a knife. Twist it 'round for taking my things, make her scream. Then they'll come back, both of them. Then we'll paint the town red, like it was supposed to be done, a
long time ago.

---------------- Next: Dru decides to go to Sunnydale, and Buffy, Spike, and the scoobies
are in for a big surprise.
