"Warriors Don't Cry"
"I was so scared that you wouldn't make it," Melba's mother sobbed, hugging her child, never letting go of her.
Melba just survived her first day of school in Central High. This doesn't sound like a dangerous thing, but it is. The school that Melba just attended to is an all white school. Just being at that school can make her injured or even get her killed all because she's black. It was very scary for Melba. She didn't know how she even survived. But thanks to the lord she is still alive right now.
"I'm so happy that you're okay!" Melba's mother continued to sob.
Melba hugged her mother back. Melba's face was stern, serious.
"Mama, warriors don't cry."
This is just a little skit that I wrote about the book I'm currently reading, it's called "Warriors Don't cry". Hoped you liked it :)
