This story is dedicated to: MissGoalie75
Because (a) She's awesome writer.
and (b) she's dedicated two one-shots to me in her collections of RK fanfics. They're there. One in each. You just have to find them...
So I promised I would dedicate one to her, since she did for me out of the kindness of her heart. So here you are!!
Also I have updated for January. So two birds! One stone! GO SIRAHK!
Enjoy guys!
The bell rang for lunch, my small AP class dismissed and headed towards the lunchroom. I walked with them until I reached the end of the wall and looked to my left. I gulped slightly as I spot the horde of students rushing to fill their stomach's worth of food, which in some cases could be bottomless. Sanosuke Sagara was head of this stampede; I just make sure I was out of the way as I held my notes close to me.
As the rush of students past and my thoughts of the poor lunch ladies drifted off, I looked once again to my left.
A lone student was slowly making his way down the hall. His red hair, longer than most boys at this school which was pulled into a loose ponytail while his bangs overshadow his face. He wore a light gray jacket with a green plaid shirt over shirt and an expressive tee shirt. His slim yet baggy jeans are worn and a small hole on the knee that's just starting to surface. To put it all together, he also wears a pair of old but well- loved converse.
He looks up and smiles, "Kaoru! You waited for me today!"
"I wait for you everyday, Kenshin." I replied smoothly.
Kenshin smiles a bit bigger but doesn't quicken his step, doing just fine by his speed. He looks paler than usual and he seems more sluggish and if possible, thinner. I raise an eyebrow and compliment on his physical appearance, "You look like a zombie."
"I feel like one too, except I'm not for brains today. I'm not sure I could handle them," He reaches me and places his arm around my shoulders, pulling me in for an awkward side hug. I stubble and clutch my notes a little tighter as we make our way to the cafeteria.
"Why, Zombie Kenshin, can't you handle brains today? Had too much of a fill for you?" Knowing he was smiling made me smirk. Only a little.
"Because, Mortal Kaoru, I am recovering from a stomach virus. Plus I never liked brains that much in the first place."
I inch away from him, his smile falls, "K'shin, I don't want to get sickā¦" I protested, pushing my notes in between us like a shield. Kenshin grabs the mere notebook away and leans into kiss my forehead.
I glare at him, even though no one is in the hallway with us, I'm not much for PDA in school. Plus he made me blush.
Of course, Kenshin just chuckles at me, "Relax hun, I'm not contagious and no one saw us," he kisses my cheek to prove a point. It makes me pout. "You're so cute." He kisses my cheek again, though this time closer to my mouth.
"Kenshin," I warn him.
"Hmm?" he smiles cheekily.
"Stop,"
"Why?" he asks, disappointed.
"Cause, we're about to go inside," I point to the large wooden double doors and the muffled noise coming from inside. Kenshin looks at the lunchroom door and back at me and back at the door. Then before I can protest, he kisses me on the lips and walks toward the door.
"Shinta Himura!"
He turns with an oh-so-lovely smirk, "Yes, Kaoru Kamiya?"
"You know the rules..." I start.
"Yes, yes. I know Ms. Kamiya. But I'm not much the rules. Plus Zombie Kenshin was just getting a snack. After all Kaoru Kisses are so tasty." He deepens his smirk as my blush returns. He opens the door.
"Kenshin," I call him.
He pokes his head out, "Yes?"
"You have my notes."
Pssst.
