But when all is through
And you are over me,
While I still lay and weep
In grief for what was,
Sing a song of life.

Sing a song of life,
And be sure to include the trials.
Relive the good times
But also remember the bad,
The heartache, the misery,
That you saved me from
Only to douse, once more,
The light in my life
And my reason for living.

You have slain
Who only wanted to be
