Still waiting for my PTTR

A little something that came to me the other day whilst watching Season 1, Episode 11 'Away From It All'.

Rachel watched as her grandfather buried their time capsule, deciding to dig it up in the year 2050. 'When flying cars probably will exist!' Ted and Rachel had laughed. Rachel then told him the contents of her letter.

"It's a hope... that one day I meet a guy just like the one I met yesterday. It's a long story but... I do hope I meet someone like him some day. You know, when the time's right. And I hope to find something as special as you and Nan had."

To which a touched Ted answered.

"I hope you do too, love."

A little over a year down the track was where Rachel Rafter found herself. And it was safe to say that her life hadn't panned out exactly how she'd planned.

But that's something she wouldn't changed. The job, the family. And the perfect man.

Jump back to a year ago, when she'd been at the beach house with her parents. If she'd been asked to describe her perfect man, Rachel could admit that Jake wouldn't have fit the bill. He was almost as far from it as you could get. A footy player, a tradie electrician.

But reflecting on her relationship with Jake, she knew that her previous thoughts of what a perfect man really was had been wrong. She'd found her perfect man, not as long away as the year 2050.

Through the good times and the bad, the fact that they'd overcome the hurdles only showed how strong their relationship was and based on.

When it came to the year 2050, Rachel knew she'd be able to go back to that time capsule and confirm that her hope had come true in that she found a perfect man. Perhaps not the perfect man she'd originally described, or not entirely like Ewan. But a perfect man nonetheless. And with Jake, Rachel had found her happiness.

Hope you all enjoyed this. Please review and let me know what you think.

In an extra note... Looking forward to tonight's episode. Hoping that the Jake/Rachel aspect won't be too explosive.
