Upon This Moonlit Night

As night falls down the lights go on

Gas lamps breathe life and shadows gone

A horse and carriage thrum steady beat

In the cobbled road 'neath Baker Street

The curtains drawn some light falls still

While moonlight plays on window sill

A violin strums out a tune

Dark sensual notes that sing of doom

Tobacco smoke wafts as a dream

As violin strings ache and scream

A mouth parts slightly, whiskey's pourn

As great love this night is born

'Neath the hallow crook of moon

Dark creatures stir, they're coming soon

Breed within the darkest night

That none dare speak of come the light

The creatures deep within a soul

Go searching now for hearts they stole

And 'neath the piercing light of moon

A jackets' torn and buttons stroon

Hot flesh on flesh and tongue on tongue

Like bullets' power tight in gun

Hearts beat fast and pulses thud

Veins run fast with frenzied blood

Stolen kisses rent the air

Dark throaty moans from those who dare

A scream of pain, of pure delight

With one last kiss they seal the night

And none shall ever know this deed

All recollection drown by greed

And upon this moonlit night

Dark creatures satisfied take flight.
