THE GETAWAY

A year ago, Stephanie Michelle Plum and Ricardo Carlos Manoso wed. Unfortunately, their life didn't lend itself to peaceful, bliss-filled coupledom. Instead, they spent the last few months reeling from one stressful problem to the next. Last weekend at the shore "Ranger" Manoso whispered to his Babe, "I want to start our family."
Today, in his office, Ranger searched the web for a spot where they could have some much-needed downtime. After discussing how to get away from it all, they agreed upon every wish on their individual lists except one.
WHERE could they go to be alone, comfortable, safe, secure, and at peace with no bodyguards? Was there a place so secluded and out of reach that still had all the amenities they wanted? He knew he could rough it in an outback but his woman? Not likely.
Then, on his monitor, an image emerged of the perfect spot, Kemala Resort, Phuket, Thailand. He wrote a quick email attaching the photographic file and sent it to his wife.
Twirling in her office chair, Steph twisted a stubborn curl around a finger while she tried to imagine a place like she and Carlos talked about. Did such a place really exist in their world?
With a sigh she turned toward her computer just as an email notification flashed in the bottom corner of the screen. A message from Carlos said "Check out the pic in the upper left corner. There?"
Stephanie Michelle Manoso sent a one-word reply to her ex-military husband. "Hooah!"
