Got this simple idea when I was reading a local novel. Enjoy!

Put Your Jacket over Me, Like the Cliché Romances

''

One rainy evening, Minato and Yukari have been staring out the empty streets for two hours. They are drenched to the bones, making them shiver due to Yukari's earlier idea just to run through the rain. A decision they regret deeply. The brunette suddenly giggles with trembling lips.

"Maybe it's one of those times where you take off your jacket and put it over me, like those in the cliché romance movies."

The blue-haired male responds by giving her a side-glance. He isn't sure whether should he do what she said or not; his jacket is also soaked, is there even a point?

Seeing his reluctance, Yukari makes a waving-off gesture whilst laughing fretfully, "Don't think too much about it, I'm just saying."

"Right," Minato complies simply.

As a comfortable silence embraces them, with Yukari occasionally blowing air into her palms and rubbing them to her arms, they merely gaze at people walking by with umbrellas. The girl sighs disdainfully to herself, she regrets not minding Ken's advice to bring a raincoat with her—because raincoats are just lame—despite the fact that the kid has watched today's weather forecasting program this morning. She sighs again. She will apologize and treat Ken melon breads tomorrow.

"Take this," says Minato idly as he hands out a ball of fabric to the girl beside him. He has squashed his jacket to make at least an acceptable temperature for it, although it is still inevitably damp.

However, Yukari only raises an eyebrow at it, then at him. "What about you?"

"I'm alright."

My ass. She restrains the urge to roll her eyes at his shaking hands. "Sure, and that three-day fever you got after you went through the rain?" Minato's defensive response is simply to breathe, still holding the ball of fabric to her. "I'm fine, really, you use it. I was just joking." The brunette is pushing it to his chest when suddenly a brilliant idea struck her like the whisper of the devil. "Let's race to the dorm!"

"No."

"Come on, it's only…" she trails off, calculating the estimation time to their dorm, "seven minutes, at most. The one losing cooks dinner!"

With that, she dashes out from the small shelter they found. She is already dripping wet, anyways. Waiting any longer will just make their impending sickness worse. She laughs as she purposefully steps on a puddle to lure Minato out, too. Exhaling a heavy sigh, the male followed meekly, careful to avoid puddles on the sidewalk.

Junpei will be proud of the cliché dramatization of this moment, oh well, at least he tried.

Just something random I did at midnight. Huh, I guess I won't post this. No one reads romance, fluff, and plotless fics nowadays, will someone even notice this?

The title needs to be reconstructed asap but lol nobody cares.

So, kind readers, any thought?
