I have had this idea for a while now and finally decided to type it when I came up with a sad scenario that would appear later on involving Jason Grace.

IF YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENS TO HIM, I ADVISE THAT YOU FIND OUT BEFORE THIS STORY ENDS.

If you do, don't worry; he's in this story. My idea involving him will happen in the bonus chapters and/or epilogue of this story.

WARNING: I am guessing when it comes to events from the third movie, so no guarantees that those events actually happen. Pure coincidence if something similar happens. This also applies for the PJO/HOO/TOA books when it comes to my idea involving Jason.

This story will only be updated when I get a review. I need to know people are actually interested so I can continue. As any author on here can tell you, reviews make updates come quicker.

I also apologize if there's a couple characters that are out of character.

Without further delay, enjoy the story!

Where to begin on a story like this . . .

First, know that the feud with Mal and Uma ended a few months after the Cotillion. There was a situation involving Princess Audrey that required Uma's help. We won't go into details, but thanks to Uma's cooperation with the certain issue, it was resolved and she was given permission to go to Auradon along with her friends Harry and Gil.

With the situation, Mal discovered who her father is. Although she had been told all her life that her father was human, he was actually the god known as Hades.

Mal spent about a week getting to know her father while everyone else was getting ready for the new school year. Hades told her many of his stories from him being swallowed whole by his father—Kronos—to him falling in love and marrying his wife, Persephone. After telling stories about himself, Hades told a few about his two other children.

This may be hard to explain, so don't feel bad if you don't understand right off.

Apparently, there's this other alternate dimension with a place called United States of America instead of United States of Auradon. In this place, the gods reside in Olympus, which is located on the six-hundredth floor of a building called the Empire State Building in a village—no, a city—called New York City. Hades was usually only allowed on Olympus for emergency meetings with his two brothers—Mal's uncles—so he spends his time in the Underworld, the entrance being in another city called Los Angeles.

According to Hades, his son had been placed in a hotel where time flowed slower. When he came out with his sister, over fifty years had passed. The son's sister was killed over a year after they left the hotel. The son had tried many times to bring her back from the dead, but eventually gave up after taking his half-sister out of the Underworld.

This 'half-sister' was also a daughter of Hades—no, she was a daughter of Pluto. Apparently, some of the gods have a Greek and Roman form with each form having a different name. Hades is his Greek name while Pluto is his Roman name. Their father looked different in either form; he even looked different in Auradon than he would in America.

Anyways, Mal's sister had moved across the kingd—country multiple times with her deranged mother. The sister died trying to prevent an evil from literally rising from the ground. She was brought back from the dead when their brother helped her escape the Underworld.

Her brother and sister have no idea that Mal exists. They also had no knowledge of the kingdom Auradon. As far as they knew, they were the only siblings they have that are alive. Hades assured Mal that was best for now because of the vow he made with his brothers.

There was this war that was caused by the Big Three's children. It was Hades's children versus both of his brothers' children. Those brooding cousins destroyed many cities and killed thousands of lives with no regrets. The Big Three made a pact that they would have no demigod children with humans.

However, somebody broke the pact.

By somebody, I mean Zeus and Poseidon. Zeus fell in love with this blonde-haired diva and had a child with her twice; first in his Greek form and then the second time six years later in his Roman form. Poseidon broke the pact when he fell in love with a sweet and kind mortal just a year before Zeus broke the pact a second time. Hades didn't break the pact since his two children from America were either lost in time or was brought back from the dead.

With that said, Zeus found out about Mal when Hades had disappeared for a short time. A war had just ended that was the demigods versus the giants. This Earth giant named Gaea had tried to make the Roman demigods attack the Greek demigods' camp, which essentially failed. When Hades didn't physically appear to help his Roman daughter like the other gods did for their children, Zeus grew suspicious and eventually discovered that Hades was hiding out in a new 'universe' called Auradon.

After intense arguing on Olympus, Hades and Zeus came to an agreement. If Mal was willing, she would attend the Greek camp for a few days to see how the demigods react to her. After the time is up, she will go to Olympus and be judged by the other gods.

The catch? Mal can't tell anyone that she is the daughter of Hades until any of the gods give their permission.

Of course, that meant they would have to lie about who her parent is. You see, the gods made a promise about a year ago that they would claim their children at the rightful age of thirteen. The gods couldn't go back on this promise considering how much the demigods helped them in the last to wars.

That's where her step-mother comes in to save the day.

Before Mal would taken to Camp Half-Blood with Uma—Hades convinced the gods to let a friend accompany Mal and Uma was the only one available at the moment—her father took the two of them to the Underworld. Just a simple tour so they would get a somewhat understanding of the mythology around them.

Almost immediately, the trio were greeted by an enormous three-headed dog, Cerberus. Cerberus disregarded the father and daughter, his full attention on Uma. He growled viciously, seeing her as an intruder. Uma took a cautious step back while Mal instinctively moved in front of her.

"Stop!" Mal ordered the dog that was probably as big as Auradon Prep. Immediately, Cerberus stopped his growling, which impressed and amused Hades.

Taking a shot in the dark, Mal shouted in her most demanding voice, "Sit!"

With a little time, Cerberus went into a sitting position, though he was hovering over the ground.

"All the way," Mal chided, speaking to him as though he was a puppy. Much to Hades's amusement and the girls' shock, Cerberus began to whine. Mal raised her eyebrows, giving him a look that said 'Don't make me ask twice'.

With another whine, Cerberus did something else. Slowly, he began to shrink with two of his heads reverting into his body. As he became the average size of a dog, the girls were able to identify him as a solid black Doberman. After he finished shrinking, Cerberus fully sat on the ground.

Hades patted his dog's head as an award. "As you can see, Cerberus can change size and form," he explained/summarized. "He doesn't like to be in this form during the day while he's on guard duty. I'm surprised he listened to you."

"You know why," a soothing voice claimed from thin air. "He mistook her for me."

Out of thin air, an incredibly beautiful, yet deathly pale woman with lustrous black hair and multi-colored eyes appeared next to Hades on the other side of Cerberus. She wore a dress that shimmered with colors; the flower patterns in the fabric of her dress occasionally changing and blooming roses, tulips, and honeysuckle.

Mal's breath caught in her throat as she stared wide-eyed at the beautiful woman. The woman smiled at the young teenager's reaction. "Hello, Mal," she greeted kindly, absentmindedly stroking her dog's head. "It's nice to finally meet you in person."

Mal's mouth opened and closed like a fish trying. Uma rolled her eyes. "I'll bite," Uma commented before asking the woman, "Who are you?"

"Mal. Uma." Hades reached over and held the woman's tiny flawless hand. "This my wife, Persephone."

"She's your wife?" Mal interrogated in complete surprise. "How could you cheat on someone as beautiful as her with someone as insane as my mother?"

Persephone laughed at the questions while her husband started to get flustered. "To be fair, he wanted to name you after me," the goddess insisted. "But Maleficent was completely against it, so you were named after her."

"I would have been fine with 'Persephone'," Mal admitted with a slight flush of her cheeks.

Uma shrugged. "It does sound better."

"Not the name I have now." Persephone corrected slowly and kindly. "He wanted to give you the name I was first given by the mortals on Earth. At that time, I had purple hair much like your own. I kept it for many eons, changing the shade as you had, but people usually remember me with blond or dark hair."

"And the name?"

"Kore," Hades answered his daughter. "I wanted to name you 'Kore', but your mother insisted on 'Mal Bertha'."

Mal groaned at her horrible middle name. The only thing that made that name better was that her fiancé—Ben, the son of Queen Belle and King Beast—had an equally terrible name.

Persephone smiled again. "Let's get back to the situation at hand," she advised. "I'm sure your father has told you about your conditions for staying at Camp Half-Blood."

"Uma and I can't tell anyone he's my father except for permission from any of the gods and goddesses. We also can't tell them who our other parent is because they won't believe us," Mal remembered as she tilted her head in confusion. "What else is there?"

"Someone has to claim you as their child," Hades insisted. "The gods made a promise that they would claim at the rightful age of thirteen at the latest. Obviously, you are past the age limit since you're seventeen. The campers will grow suspicious if suddenly an unclaimed demigod appeared at camp just a few days after a major war has ended. The other gods agreed that someone else needs to temporarily claim you until the time is right."

Mal nodded slowly yet disappointingly. She had just found out Hades was her father, so she wasn't too keen on having to pretend some other god was her father. She huffed in aggravation. "So, who is 'claiming' me instead of you?"

"Me," Persephone answered, her smile growing when Mal's face lit up. "I volunteered. My own mother didn't like the idea, but I persisted. This way, Hades's will be your 'step-father' while your half-siblings will be your 'step-siblings' instead. Then again, those two don't really care for me, so they may not even consider you as a sibling."

"Please tell me that means I get to call you 'Mom'," Mal practically begged. "Because that would make this a thousand times better."

"Of course!" The goddess agreed happily. "We have to keep the act as much as we can. Stay mindful that your scent is hard to decipher since you've been around so many mortals with a strong scent. Most may not believe that you're my daughter and will try to determine who your real parent is. That's why you must be cautious by how you speak of me or how you refer to your father."

"What do you mean by 'scent'?" Uma interrogated. It was hard for her to keep up with all of this talk. She's surprised that Mal could.

"It's basically how most monsters, satyrs, etc. can tell who a demigod's parent is," Hades tried to explain in the simplest terms. "That is also how they can find where any person is. Everyone has a unique scent. For example, Uma, your scent is of the sea, so they may mistake you for the daughter of the sea god—"

"Instead of the over-grown sea witch known as my mother," Uma summarized as she nodded in understanding. "So, what's Mal's scent?"

The god and goddess shrugged, as though they didn't know the answer themselves. "We aren't sure," Persephone admitted. "After being around so many people with pungent odors and then suddenly around people who have a better smell, who really knows? If Mal's at camp long enough, her scent will overgrow those that masked it."

"But before you are taken to camp, we have to go over your sleeping arrangements," Hades insisted. "Over the past year, more cabins have been made so the gods could claim all of their children. There are a couple cabins that are made just to be respectful, but there is no cabin for my wife, since she technically doesn't have any children until now. There were talks about putting you in the Demeter cabin, but I argued that it would be a bad idea since Uma won't fit in. Hestia, my older sister, offered to have you stay in her cabin since she had no children."

"Will you thank her for us?" Mal requested.

"I don't see her much," Hades confessed. "In fact, she spends most of her time at Camp Half-Blood, though most usually ignore her like she's not even there. Dionysus will lead you around camp and give you an explanation over the rules. He will be the only other person that will know who you are. If you have any problems, go to him. He has offered to help."

"We shouldn't keep him waiting," Persephone commented. "He'll get restless and irritated."

Hades merely nodded before he gave the two teens a small confident smile. "Good luck."

With a snap of his finger, the girls disappeared in a bright light.

So much for a warning.
