Never Having Children
James had just set the suitcase at the bottom of the stairs when there was a knock at the door.
"Lily, Sirius is here." I was their two year anniversary, and Sirius Black had volunteered to watch baby Harry wile they went away for a long weekend.
"Just a minute!" Lily called down, she was in the nursery. James opened the door admitting his best friend.
"Hey Pads," He smiled closing the door.
"Happy anniversary, Prongs." Sirius smiled shaking the mess of black hair out of his face. Lily appeared at the top of the stairs with four month old Harry balanced on one hip, the dipper bag hung on the opposite shoulder.
"Hello Sirius." She said coming down the stairs.
"Lily, happy anniversary" Sirius nodded taking the bag from her.
"Ready?" James asked. Lily cast a worried look around the house before reluctantly agreeing. James took Harry from her, kissed the top of his head, whispered good-bye, and handed the baby over to Sirius. Lily looked worriedly at her son before kissing the top of his head.
"It'll be fine." Sirius assured her, "You can trust me, can't you?"
Lily glared at him. Sirius gulped, "Right, stupid question. . ."
Sirius fallowed them out of the house and waved good-bye as they left, before turning for home himself.

The day passed rather un-uneventfully, more diapers than Sirius had anticipated, but, other than that, nothing he couldn't handle. That was until around midnight. Sirius woke up to Harry apparently trying to break the glass of his apartment windows. He picked up the screaming baby, rocking him gently wile checking the diaper, clean. He then tried giving him another bottle, couldn't even get it in his mouth. Absolutely nothing he did worked, and Harry kept getting louder, a feat Sirius didn't think was possible. Then an idea struck him, and he apperaited away.
Remus Lupin was awoken by a loud banging on his door at about a half past midnight, He made his way from the bed room of his small apartment to the front door. Looking through the peep-hole he saw a rather frazzled looking Sirius holding a crying Harry. Quickly undoing the lock Remus pulled the door open,
"What's wrong?"
"I can't get him to stop crying." Sirius said, "I think I broke him."
Remus shook is head at his friends last comment before reaching for the baby. He looked at him for a moment before placing the baby on his shoulder and gently tapping his bum twice. Harry burped, then started giggling. Remus handed the boy back to his friend,
"There, he's fixed."
"Thank you, Moony." Sirius said looking at the little boy smiling up at him.
"Uh-huh, I'm going back to bed now." Remus said shutting his door Walking back to bed he thought, 'I'm never having children. . .'
