She was supposed to have the house to herself (Peyton locked away in her office) but as she neared the kitchen, Brooke really hoped she was wrong. That it was her best friend and not someone trying to rob them.
She clutched at the vase she had picked up and quietly entered the room, only to drop her weapon in surprise.
It hit the ground with a loud crash.
And caused Randy's head to snap up, his eyes immediately locked on hers. He smirked and wiped his hands on the chef's apron he wore.
