AN: My story for the fifth and final round in the capture the flag competition.

I do not own Percy Jackson. *sighs* I wish I did though.

Percy and Annabeth.

Annabeth and Percy.

It had been a long time since they had been without the other

They had been the best heroes of their age.

They are remembered for their quests.

The bolt, they saved together.

The sea, they sailed together.

Percy went on the quest, not for a goddess but for Annabeth.

They went through the labyrinth together.

The fought a war together.

They win that war together.

Even when they were separated they weren't really, the only good side effect of demigod dreams.

The went on another quest together.

And fought another war.

And won again.

Together.

And in the end they died together.

They had been leading demigods to camp when it happened.

The huge army of monsters that had appeared seemly out of nowhere.

They called their friend Nico.

He got the new campers out.

But when he got back a battle sight greeted him.

The monsters were gone.

Only the spoils of war left behind.

The two older demigods had defeated the army and given Nico the time to get the newbies back to camp.

But the cost had been their lives.

The son of Hades remembered that day well.

He went back to camp.

All their friends greeted him.

Where are they? They asked.

Then they saw his face.

They gasped.

No.

It wasn't possible.

Percy and Annabeth.

They survived Tartarus.

No way mere monsters had taken them down.

Jason saw the heartbreak on his cousin's face.

For Zeus's nephew had never told the son of Poseidon his true feelings.

And now they are never separated.

Annabeth and Percy.

Their stories are never told alone.

And now not many knew them.

Not as individuals.

They knew them as the star couple.

The people you would strive to be.

But yet some did remember.

Nico remembered.

He remembered Percy having to decide what to do without Annabeth and how he still made the right decision.

Thalia remembered.

She remembered the scared little seven year old girl she had basically adopted.

Poseidon remembered.

He remembered watching his son slowly work his way through school.

Grover remembered.

He remembered Annabeth's first sword fight.

Her first time going to the stables.

Her first capture the flag game.

He remembered Percy's 'illegal' candy selling back in sixth grade.

He remembered when he thought he was nobody.

Chiron remembered

He remembered becoming a father to the scared little daughter of Athena.

Sally remembered.

She remembered her son's first word.

The first time he walked.

His first day of school.

And although there may have been quite a few people who could find memories, for everyone person who remembered there was at least five who didn't.

Annabeth and Percy.

Percy and Annabeth.

Never again to be separated.
