Laura woke up with another start with tears streaming down her face. The nightmare she just had was so very real and scared her so very much. She looked over to her left just to make sure her vampire companion wasn't there to notice that she was crying because she couldn't give that pleasure to Carmilla. No, she must be the stiff as a board Laura that didn't crack under the pressure.

Once she knew that the broody girl wasn't there, Laura put her arm over her eyes and just let it go. She was so tired of the nightmares spooking her and occurring night after night after night. It really did frighten her and she didn't know what to do. How does one exactly get rid of these nightmares? She was not going to use that bat charm that Carmilla gave her because frankly, that's just creepy. Although it was actually tempting to at this point, but that would involve getting up and since she wasn't in the mood to do so at this time, she just laid there and let her emotions run.

All of a sudden she feels something grab at her shoulders and she hears "Laura, are you okay?"

Laura moves her arm to see the person who intruded on her crying session with wide eyes. Of course it would be Carmilla. She's the only one who it would make sense to be in her room this late at night.

"Y-yeah," she chokes out, sounding pathetic even to herself, "Just peachy."

Laura exhales deeply as she looks everywhere besides the glaring eyes piercing at her. It was actually quite intimidating to have such a stare on her.

"C'mon dandelion, tell me what's got you sobbing like a teenage heartbreak," Carmilla said as she went to sit next to Laura, slightly pushing her so they could share the tiny bed. Any other day Laura wouldn't put up with Carmilla's antics but right now she felt like she couldn't harm anything.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Carmilla asked with an unusually sweet tone.

Laura just timidly shook her head.

"Are those nightmares still getting to you?

Laura nodded her head this time.

Carmilla said nothing, but instead put her arm around Laura's shoulders and put her head flushed with her chest, which flustered the blonde quite a bit, but she could tell there was no malicious intent with the gesture. Laura felt that this intimate moment was an opening for her to pick up where she left off before her roommate came in so she seized and let it loose. Carmilla surprisingly didn't say anything snarky. She just whispered endearing terms while petting the girl's hair. Eventually Laura was tired out enough to fall asleep and had the first pleasant dream in a long while, which also had a certain brunette as the main focus of it.

When she woke up, Laura found herself still cuddled up to the vampire, who was asleep herself. The sight of this was probably cuter than Laura should've thought it was. Still being tired, Laura uncharacteristically just went snuggled back against Carmilla and fell back asleep without checking the time.
