There is a house in the middle of nowhere.

This is how I see the series. ^^

An old barn, windmill, and cottage, to be precise.

This is a land of mostly desert terrain.

Burning hot-not a flicker of snow or ice.

Here dwells a cranky farmer, one with little heart or brain.

He who delights in terrifying his family, alone, in the land without rain.

There is a woman who dwells here, one with a heart full of what her husband lacked.

Gullible and heartwarming, she is constantly by an enemy tracked.

The two are constantly pursued.

By frogs, cats, evil demons of the night.

Things both ridiculous and unseemly,

The things that go BUMP in the night. Things magical, things bittersweet.

Some a trifle sad.

Alas the Wife will exclaim, "Oh, My."

And the Farmer just exclaims, "Bah!"

No children are here in this old abode. Perhaps as old as time.

But very humanlike and childlike, here is a…pink dog who passes his time.

Courage is his name, and, oh, how he lacks it.

Never hesitating to scream in fear.

Nevertheless, a warm hearted soul,

Works and toils without a tear.

He is loved by Muriel, hated by Eustace.

That's how it seems to be.

In the land without rain, this warm hearted fellow

Casts aside his own misery

To save his gullible owners, again and again

Whether it be in the sky, space, underwater, desert, wood or bog.

Courage always wins in the end.

And Eustace is left to exclaim, "STUPID DOG!"
