I looked at Itachi, tears threatening to overflow, "So… you really did it…" I said.
He nodded, "What, Nanami, did you think I was kidding?"
I sighed, "I just thought that you might think about others before you did something like this… You told me why, but really, did you clan deserve death just for pushing you?"
He turned away from me. "You don't get it, do you? I had to do this! It was to prevent a war! The Uchiha's were planning on starting a war! If that had happened, it would probably trigger the start of the fourth ninja war! You know how much I hate war, I couldn't let that happen if I had a choice! You don't know what it's like to have to make a choice like that!"
I couldn't help it, I started crying. "Don't know what its like?" I said, astonished, "Don't give me that crap! I know what it's like, more that you! Loving someone ever since I was eight, even though I didn't even know what love was, and having him be completely oblivious! Even after five years!(sorry ppl, can't remember how old Itachi was when he murdered his clan…take that age, subtract five years and that is how old Nanami was when she started to love Itachi)"
Itachi turned to me, his brow furrowed, "What do you mean?"
I looked at him, and shook my head no, "I can't believe it, you never even knew that I loved you… after all of these years. You don't know how it is! No one in the village except for me and the leaders know the truth. You've gone and murdered your entire clan, maybe for the good of the village, but no one even knows the truth! You didn't think about how it would effect those close to you! How it would effect me!"
He looked at me, surprised, "Nanami… I never knew… I…" For once, the Uchiha was at loss for words.
I turned away, "Just leave… go away…" I started sobbing.
"No!" I felt arms wrap around my waist, and gentle hands wiped away my tears.
"Nanami… the truth is… I really feel the same way… I…" Itachi gave up on words, he just spun me around, and kissed me. I gasped, and then melted into the kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck and ran my fingers through his hair. I gasped, and broke away. "Itachi…I…"
"Shhh…" he said, putting his fingers to my lips, "Don't say anything. I have loved you for a long time now, I just didn't think that you would love someone like me. I want you to come with me, run away with me… Please?"
I looked into Itachi's eyes, and looked away, "Itachi," I started, "I want to be with you, but I cannot come now… my mother isn't feeling well, and I have things I need to do here… I will come though, but when? And how will I find you?"
"Come when you see a white raven, it shall guide you to me," said Itachi, "And I shall always be watching you."
He kissed me one last time, and walked away. He stopped a few feet away, "Promise me you'll come."
"I promise," I said. "Wait!" I cried, "Don't go!"
He turned back to me, his face hidden in the shadows. "I have to, I'm sorry..."
"Please! Don't go! Not just yet!"
He walked back to me and wrapped his arms around my waist. "One night," he said, "One night, and then I have to leave."
I nodded. We went back to my house... and in the morning, he was gone without a trace.
I would watch and wait until the Raven came; I would be waiting...
