Happy Birthday, America

America stood in front the group. "Guess what, guys." He opened his arms in a wide gesture. "It's my birthday!" He announced.

Britain rolled his eyes. "We know, America. You announce it every year." America scowled at his rival, but continued. "As your heroic leader, it is quite mandatory for you all to come to my birthday party, understood?"

China raised his hand. "There's not going to be that comedian like last year, is it? He was a complete ass."America smiled. "don't worry. I've got something even better planned."

France grinned. "I will be making the food this year." America nodded. "Yeah, that is true. But that's not the best part, though."

"What is the best part, America?" Japan inquired. America his finger at his buddy. "Ah, ah, ah. I can't ya that. You just have to come and see for yourself. I expect all of you there. No exceptions."

Britain groaned loudly. "Your parties always end up as uncivilized messes." America rolled his eyes. "Well, duh. That's what makes it a party."

A few hours later, America waited for his guests to arrive. The first to come was Lithuania. He was carrying a medium sized gift. America greeted him. "Hey! What's up, man?" Lithuania set the present on the table. "Well. I just can't stop thanking you letting me work for you." America waved it off. "Dude, it was nothing. Besides, that's what friends do, right?"

Lithuania scratched his head. "Yeah, I suppose you're right." Soon, the next guest arrive. It was Austria.

The stuck up country surveyed the place skeptically. "I see you took my advice and changed those hideous curtains and the repainted the walls and shampooed the carpet. I suppose it's acceptable, but it could be better."

America shifted awkwardly. "Um…thank you?" Austria held up his present. "Anyway, I brought you a little something to improve the place." America accepted the present. "Thanks, man."

Another guest arrived. It was Britain. America pointed to him accusingly. "Ha! I knew you would come!" Britain sniffed in contempt. "Whatever. I just came for the booze."

America smiled. He had a mischievous look in his eyes. "There's something very special about the booze this year." Britain sighed. "Oh goodie," He grumbled.

Sorry it ended like that. I ran out of time. I was actually planning on submitting the whole story today for Independence day. I promise to submit ASAP.
