I do not own TMM or the Deathfic competition by Kish's Kitty and sakuuya. It may be unclear, but this takes place at the end of the second book in the manga. I've named the little girl in Inohara Park Sakura, to clear any confusion. I hope you enjoy!

"Mommy! Mommy!" Sakura cried, scared. Everyone was panicking, the air growing thick and black, making it hard to breathe. She started trembling, drawing her arms together around her head to make herself smaller. Head spinning, she pitched forward, no longer in control of her body.

A pair of arms wrapped themselves around Sakura before she hit the ground, cradling her to their chest. Drifting on the edge of consciousness, Sakura heard two men shouting, causing her head to ring. Slowly, she succumbed to the pulling tide, letting herself float into nothingness…

Opening her eyes, Sakura found herself in a field of flowers. A soft breeze constantly whispered across the field, flower heads bobbing in its wake. She rubbed her eyes, wondering where she was.

Clutching her purse to her chest, Sakura called, "Hello? Mommy?" There was no response. Strangely, she was not scared anymore; a sense of calm radiating from the place.

Picking a random direction, Sakura walked forward, marveling at the flowers' bright colors, the wind toying with the edge of her dress. Humming happily, Sakura looked for the perfect flower. With an exclamation of glee, Sakura found the one she was looking for. "Mommy'll like this one!"

Snapping the flower stem, a sudden flash of light shined in Sakura's eyes. "Mommy?" she whispered, clutching the flower to her chest. The wind gained strength, seemingly coming from the light. Sakura tentatively stepped towards it.

Warmth radiated from the light as the wind passed her with a sigh, carrying a word to her ears, Protect…

"Huh?" Sakura questioned anxiously, but it was impossible for her to stay scared for long.

Another lick of wind came by, caressing her face as it said, I must… protect…

"Mommy!" Sakura cried happily. She dashed down the path, hearing more words.

Too weak… I can't… Need…

Grinning, Sakura slowed as she reached the light.

Power… I need… more life

Hesitating, she saw a person within the light. It did not look like her mother, but she was ecstatic nonetheless. The person had long hair pulled back from pointy ears.

Sakura giggled. "You're dressed funny."

The person opened their eyes, seeing Sakura for the first time. Nodding slightly, he dropped to one knee, arms extended in welcome. You'll do… With a cry of delight, Sakura raced into his arms with a bear-hug, her discarded flower tumbling behind her.

A searing pain shot through Sakura's chest. "Ah! That hurts!" she cried, tightening her grip on the man. He did not respond, only holding the little girl closer. Sakura started blurring at the edges, being absorbed into the light. Starting to cry, she protested again, "That really hurts! Make it stop!" She was met by silence as she sobbed, numbness spread through her body, seeking her core.

Soon her tears fell almost calmly as she gave up. The last thing she heard as she closed her eyes, sleepy after her ordeal, was one of the voices from before, their harsh voice mockingly calling, "Adios, loser!!"
