Lightclan forum: Disaster!
Petal awoke to the smell of smoke. It was thick throughout the den. Petal raced outside to see that no cats had awoken yet. Petal looked for the source of the smoke. She saw no fire. She raced out of camp to look around the territory. She reached the edge of her territory and she looked up to see the volcano that lived near camp had erupted and globs of hot lava were eating up the forest. She raced back to camp. She had to tell Stonestar and Willowtail! She leaped inside the tunnel and yelled at the top of her lungs "get out if your dens the volcano has erupted!".I start to panic. Luckily the calm voice inside my head is urging me on. Thank you Starclan for giving me that gift since I was young I silently pray to Starclan.
Petal raced to the leaders den but there was no sign of him. She ran to the warriors den trying to find Willowtail but she was mysteriously gone too. What will become of us know I though. We will be turned into big piles of cinder. But i had a thought. I have to save the clan "Listen up everybody!" She yelled from the top of Talltree. " lava is flowing our way very fast and it will kill us all unless we keep order and use the back entrance to camp. Leafsong, Amberlight , and Jademoon go and help Dovesong. Remember to grab as many herbs as you can then get her safely out of camp. Darkclaw and Sunstrike go and help Sandheart with her kits and get her and the other queens safely out. lilypad and Foxstep help the elders out of their dens. Remember people we have to move fast." I hoped this would be more orderly. I could hear Sandheart panicking in the nursery trying to get her kits out. I was still shaking from the speech I gave. "Stormbreeze come with me "I ordered. " we ran out the front entrance to camp and raced through the trees. " Its got closer" I meow nervously. We rush back to camp to see the elders the queens and the medicine cat already left. Old one-ear is laying on the ground panting. "Come on we have to go" I say as I nudge him up. I fall trying to support the big elder'a weight. I push all the warriors and apprentices out.
As I am leaving I hear a "Help!" From the apprentice den. Lionpaw had become stuck in some brambles and his struggling only made it worse. How was I going to him out of this? I grab his scruff and yank hard. He screams because of the brambles digging into him. That didn't help I thought. I ran around and sunk my claws into his hips again. I heard another scream. I was starting to panic. I pull and push but nothing is helping. I see a stick laying a little ways off. I grab it and stick it into the bramble beside him. By then my whiskers are starting to singe. I push down on the stick and the apprentice becomes looser. I push and push and the apprentice finally slips out I struggle to support the big apprentices weight. His leg had became broken in the was with great difficulty that we finally reached the tunnel.
We make it out of the tunnel and hurried to the clan sitting on a small island in the middle of the river. We made it I thought. Now just to rebuild everything we have ever worked for.
