When I was little I never cared for orange, I loved the fruit, but never the color, but when I entered middle school I met a boy, a boy with orange hair and light brown eyes. He had this angry look in his eye that confused me, I saw how the others treated him, they were afraid of him, but one day, after school I had been cornered and picked on by the other boys and girls. I curled in a ball and took every hit, every word they spat until as I looked up, all I saw was orange.

Ichigo stood in front of me as he wiped something off his temple and saw it was a pebble. After that day we became inseparable. As we got older Ichigo and I became closer than ever, despite all the teasing we get in class with how we act with each other, we are not dating, every morning when we walk into class together. When I snuggle with him when it gets cold on the roof of the school building, how we show P.D.A so easily or are always teasing each other.

Once when I had just come home both my parents were fighting as per usual, so I headed upstairs and changed clothes, I grabbed a pair of tight low rise dark navy blue jeans, tucked into a pair of high top converse, a corset like spaghetti strapped top that showed a bit of stomach. Though as I grabbed my short sleeved black pullover, I passed my nightstand and saw it; a bright orange scrunchy. It was a birthday present from Ichigo. I once made the mistake of telling him I didn't care for the color orange and then he went out and got me an orange scrunchy!

I told him I wouldn't wear it but he didn't mind just as long as I kept it, as well as every time I looked at it, I would think of him. Sighing I reached up and put my hair in the usual low half ponytail, tied it in a rubber band then tied the scrunchy over it. Shaking my head I grabbed my cell which has just vibrated and smiled at what was written; still coming or what? You still owe me a song ;)

Smiling I sent him a quick message and headed out, when my mom saw the orange scrunchy she called out to me,

"Yuki, I thought you hated orange? Why the sudden change of liking?" a small smile graced my mouth, shocking my mother, seeing as how I never smile in front of my parents anymore,

"Ask Ichigo" was all I said before I left, not waiting for an answer.
