A/N: This is a short fanfic about how Tiffany felt the morning she found out Chucky got "killed". This is also loosely based off of the song, "My Immortal" by Evanescence...I think the song fits the story well.

It was a cold, mid-autumn morning in Chicago as Tiffany slowly opened her eyes. The early raise of sunshine shown through the bedroom window of the old, run down house. Tiffany turned to see that the opposite side of her bed was unoccupied.

Chucky had left late last night, once again out doing another "job"with his old friend, Eddie Caputo. Tiffany sighed; it wasn't that she mind him leaving, in fact, Tiffany didn't mind it at all. She had been going to several jobs with Eddie and Chucky; helping them rob local stores and kill a few people here and there. But this time Tiffany didn't tag along, and now she wished she had of as she wondered where they were. She had hoped Chucky would be home by now.

As Tiffany got out of bed and walked downstairs, she couldn't help but notice an eerie feeling in pit of her stomach. But she soon shrugged it off as she headed towards the small kitchen; maybe if she ate something she'd feel better. Tiffany then switched on the small television set to get rid of the eerie silence that filled the room as she began pouring herself a bowl of cereal.

"Good morning, Chicago," the female news anchor spoke through the tv.

Tiffany was about to turn the channel to something more interesting, but stopped when something the news anchor said caught her attention.

". . .Leading onto the settlement, Charles Lee Ray, the notorious Lakeshore Strangler has been shot and killed sometime last evening . . ."

Tiffany felt as if her heart had stopped right then and there. The sound of the woman speaking soon become nothing but muffled noises to Tiffany. The eerie feeling seeped into her again as the atmosphere seemed grow colder around her. First she felt nothing but numbness as over a million thoughts raced through her mind.

He's not dead, she thought, he can't be!

The pain of it all just seemed too real to her as tears slowly rolled down Tiffany's face. She tried desperately to shake the feeling away, but the wounds wouldn't seem to heal as she finally realized the truth; her Chucky was gone.

Her body shook violently as she continued to cry. The tears wouldn't stop flowing.

The morning sun continued to shown through the window, it's raise glinting against a small object, reflecting it into Tiffany's sobbing eyes. She slowly lifted her head to see something sparkling on top of the fireplace mantel. It took more effort than usual, but she slowly managed to lift herself up and walk over to the object, suddenly feeling curious about it, as if if was calling her name. As she finally made it across the room to the mantel, she realized the object was a small ring. Tiffany picked it up, admiring its beauty as it reflected and shimmered against the sunlight.

A small smile stretched across the corners of her mouth as she placed the ring on her finger. Her heart skipped a beat as the realization struck her; Chucky was planning to propose.

"I promise, Chucky," Tiffany whispered to herself, "I'll find out who done this to you. I'll avenge your death! And I swear, I'll never love another man for as long as I live. My love for you is immortal. . ."
