The night was dark. The clouds were low in the sky, wispy as steam from the Alaskan hot springs. The alleyways were empty of all activity. This was not a surprise to Neo though, he had been here many a night, scouting, though not that day. The footsteps were low, coming from right behind him. With the reactions of a cat and the training of a ninja, Neo knew who was walking up behind him. Dark suit matching his dark shoes and with the silver moon glinting off the sun glasses no agent ever removed, unless he was dead.

"You shouldn't be here." The voice used to belong to an old enemy, now it belonged to an old friend; a new lover.

"Neither should you." was Neo's timely reply.

"If we are found together, I will be forced to kill you." Neo's chuckle was dry.

"Or I will be forced to take you out, agent Smith." Smith's smile revealed perfectly white teeth.

"Hate for that to come between us Neo." Smith's voice got softer as his arm wrapped around a Neo's waist.

"It would be a shame, no?" Neo asked, accepting the arm around his waist and pulling the metal man towards him.

"Quite the loss to your noble cause, Neo, the one." Now they were standing toe to toe, face to face.

"Smith?"

"Yes, Neo?"

"Just shut up and kiss me." Smith leaned forward and captured Neo's lips with his own. With no thought at all he pushed him into one of the brick walls of the building beside them. Neo pulled at the back of Smith's shirt, tugging until he reached the skin underneath. With the speed of a cheetah he moved to flip their positions; but smith moved with the strength of an elephant, pinning him to the wall.

"Don't, just relax." He mumbled as he kissed his way down Neo's neck, nipping lightly as he went. Neo let out a muffled moan as he thrust his hips against Smith's, adding to the stimulation. In reply Smith sank his teeth into Neo's shoulder making him cry out. Suddenly Smith pulled back.

"I have to go." His eyes held Neo's, they were full of regret.

"Go, I wouldn't want them to miss you." Neo's voice was tinged with hurt.

"Neo-" Neo turned away and began to pull out his cell phone. A hand touched his shoulder but he shook it off.

"Just go, Smith." There was silence and when Neo turned Smith was gone. He sighed and turned around to find a place to get out of the Matrix but found his way blocked. Hands touched his cheeks,

they were followed by lips. He stood rigid, refusing the offer, the appeasement. A nip, a suck, he didn't move. A breath, a touch, Neo still refused.

"I love you." hissed Agent Smith, nudging the side of Neo's face, his shades tickling Neo's sensitive skin. Neo gave in,

"I love you too." Lips pressed his own once, and then he was gone. Neo shook his head; he really needed a better defense tactic. He took off his sun glasses and let his eyes get used to the night. For the night had many shades, just like love. Many different moments, situations, disappointments, and opportunities. But, only one man would be with him to enjoy them all. Agent Smith.
