A/N: This was written for the Great Maze Challenge, and the As Many As You Want Competition. The prompt for the Maze was to write about a sibling not taking another sibling's advice. I used the prompts please and notebook for the As Many as You Want Competition. Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter.

Lily finished packing for Hogwarts the night before she was supposed to get on the train. Her parents were still up, so she decided to sit with them until she got tired.

She paused when she walked by Petunia's room. The door was closed, and her room was silent. It was something she had gotten used to since she found out she was going to Hogwarts. But she didn't want their silence to be a barrier between them anymore. It made her already miss her sister even if they were fighting. She knocked softly on the door and pressed her ear against it to listen in. "Tuney? Can I come in?"

"It's open," her sister called with a sigh.

Lily's heart soared. There was finally a break through! She opened Petunia's door and sat on her bed. Her sister ignored her and continued writing something in a notebook.

"Tuney…it's our last night together. Can you please talk to me?"

"What's there to talk about? We already said all we had to say the last time we spoke. And you're still going to that freaky school," she answered coolly.

Lily sighed. "I tried to write to the headmaster about letting you come with me, Tuney. You know that."

"I know," Petunia finally placed her pen down and looked at Lily. "I just don't want you to go without me. Please stay here, Lily. Don't go. Please take my advice. I'll miss you so much." She rushed over to Lily and hugged her tightly.

She glanced at her sister in surprise. This was what this was about? Her heart broke for her sister. "I'm sorry, Petunia. I can't ignore this opportunity."

"You can't or you won't?" Petunia asked her softly.

Lily closed her eyes. She didn't want to answer the question, because she knew the answer would hurt her sister's feelings all over again.

Petunia sniffed when she pulled away from her and straightened up. "I see. Well then, I suppose we don't have anything else to say anything.

"Tuney, don't do this please," Lily begged her sister.

Her sister shook her head. "No, you made your choice. I'm making mine. You can close the door on the way out."

"Tuney," Lily pleaded.

"My name is Petunia. Good night," she said coldly, turning away from her.

Lily stared at her sister's back for another moment before shutting the door behind her. She couldn't take her sister's advice and not go to this school. She was too curious about it. She had to know why she was the only witch in the family. Lily had to find out what she could do with this gift. She only wished that Petunia would understand one day.
