First Olympus fic! Short but when Thalia told Jason about trying to eat a stapler, I couldn't help it! I made him kind of a serious toddler since he's a Roman and not a Greek. Enjoy!
Thalia sighed. She was sitting on the couch keeping a close eye on little Jason. He was two and rather rambunctious. He was a midget warrior! She had to stop 'play-dates' with the neighbor's kids, because Jason would trample the little things. They never stood a chance against the two-year-old son of Zeus.
Thalia sighed again. She was exhausted. Constantly watching her hellion brother was weighing on her. Don't get her wrong, she loved little Jason to death, but he was a handful. Her thoughts went to her mother and her father. Her mother was famous. And her father was a god. You'd think her life would be easy. Wrong. She knew that when Zeus finally left for good, her mother would break.
Looking at her brother, she yawned. Her eyes threatened to close, but she refused to sleep. Jason looked at her with his electric blue eyes, much like her own, and smiled. Thaila rolled her eyes but returned her brother's smile. Adorableā¦for now. She wondered what he'd be like when he grew up.
Next thing Thalia knew her brother was crying and in a different room. 'I fell asleep!' She mentally cursed herself and ran to find Jason. "Jason! Honey! Where are you?" She heard him crying close-by and ran where her ears led her.
She skidded to a stop her the office. There her brother was sitting on the floor, stapler in hand, bleeding with a staple through his lip. Thalia gasped and spoke a mile a minute. "Jason! Honey, why would you try to eat a stapler!" She ran over and picked up her brother, trying to stop the bleeding. He would need stitches, she knew immediately. Running to the phone, with Jason in her arms, she called a cab. All she had to do was tell the doctors who her mother was and they would just charge her credit card.
Thalia sighed for the third time. Sometimes she wished she was normal.
Returning home, Thalia gave the cab driver a tip. She walked into her house with Jason, whom had a lollipop in his mouth and with three little stitches on his lip. She set her little brother down. "Jason." He turned his head away from her defiantly. "Jason. Why did you try to eat the stapler?" He glared at a window still not speaking. "You know you're not supposed to go in mom's office." He gave his older sister an annoyed glance.
Thalia was getting frustrated. Sometimes Jason would act a few years older than he actually was. So she decided to play dirty. She smirked. "Okay then Jason. Guess you won't get an ice cream." Jason's ears twitched at the word.
As she started walking off, she heard a little voice whine. "Wait!" Thalia smiled in victory and turned back to her little brother. He gave a little huff of reluctance. "It look good."
She kneeled in front of her brother a little confused. "Come again?"
He gave a little toddler glare. "It look yummy." Thalia didn't know how to respond to this. So she laughed. She was laughing so hard that she was clutching her stomach, looking ready to keel over. Tears were pouring down her face at her little brother's expense. Jason on the other hand, did not find it amusing. He crossed his little toddler arms and huffed.
Thalia decided to calm down since her little brother was getting just a little miffed. She slowed her breathing and kneeled again in front of little Jason. "Come on. Let's get you some ice cream."
Jason's eyes lit up and he sat up and cheered. Thalia smiled and picked up her brother. She walked into the kitchen and asked her brother one question. "What have you learned about staplers?"
Jason made a repulsed, yet adorable, face and stated, "Staplers are yucky." Thalia laughed and dished him a bowl of ice cream.
I would love him as a little brother. XD
