In case you've never read any of frombluetored's fanfictions, you should. This poem was inspired by his/her (I think her, but I'm not sure) fanfiction of Finnick and Annie: "Where Soul Meets Body"/"The Anchor Cast Below", which is by far my favorite fanfiction of Finnick and Annie—of all fanfictions from The Hunger Games, actually. I mean, what else is there to do in Algebra than to write poetry?

"FROM MAGS TO FINNICK"

.

(untitled)

.

He said to me once: "I've

lost a mother and I'll

not lose another again,"

and then I watched him

suffer for me, watched him

burn inside his own skin,

skin flawless(ly soaked

with burdens), hating

himself and broken,

so broken, and my son,

you can't forget that I,

too, have lost a child and

I'll not lose another

again.
