A/N: This is my first official fanfic, please review and enjoy!
Pairings: Klaus/Caroline, Stefan/Rebekah, Elijah/Katherine
Rating: T.. for now.
I'm really bad at summaries, so you'll just have to read to find out, because I don't have a solid plotline in mind. All history the same, starts after 4.19 and has some of the same elements of 4.20.
Disclaimer: I don't own The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, or any of their characters. Sadly.
Caroline sighed contentedly as she looked out the window of her cab, the city was approaching quickly. She wasn't sure exactly what she wanted to find in The Big Easy, but hopefully it would be some peace of mind from Mystic Falls.
After all, her and Klaus were friends now, and what were friends for besides showing up unexpectedly on your doorstep looking for a place to sleep.
Which was exactly her plan.
Caroline gasped as the car came around the corner, bright lights consuming the clustered shops, people laughing and walking around, beads littering the streets, and music booming from the outside. The cab driver stopped before the town square. "Is here okay?" He asked. Caroline replied and gave him money, before getting out of the car and walking out into the crowd.
She walked around for a while, hoping to find someone who might know where Klaus is.
Caroline walked down an alley, into a corner, where there was obviously a party going on. Drinks were overflowing, music was booming, and the distinct smell of blood hit her nose. She walked over to a guy who had a ring on his hand, guessing it was a daylight ring.
"Hi, do you know where I can find Klaus?" She asked, turning him away from the girl he was dancing with.
The guy turned around, wiping some red smudges from his face, "Who's asking?" He drawled, smirking at her.
"Not many people look for Klaus, he looks for you," Said a voice behind her, and Caroline quickly spun around to see a group forming around her.
"Look, do you know where he is or not?" She snapped, fear growing fast inside her.
Now there was a circle around her, and all of them had rings on their hands. They started advancing when an obviously British accent spoke, "Pardon me, mates."
Caroline let out a breath of relief as she saw the object of her current desire part the crowd. "Klaus," She smiled.
Klaus took her hand, to Caroline's bewilderment, "She is never to be harmed, do you understand?" He said,
staring very closely into one of the guys eyes. The guy nodded rapidly, and Klaus led her away from the celebration.
"What are you doing here, Caroline?" He asked cordially.
"Well, Mystic Falls has been crazy lately, I figured I deserved a break, and I guess this was the first place I thought of,"
She shrugged.
Klaus grinned at her, "How long will you be staying?"
Caroline shrugged again.
"Where will you be staying?" He asked, uncorking a glass bottle from the table behind him.
She grinned, raising her eyebrows in question, walking closer to him and picking up a glass for him to pour the drink in.
Klaus chuckled at her expression, much like the one she gave him when asking for prom dress help. "Sure you can stay with me. After all, what are friends for?" He winked.
