Chapter one
Orangekit woke up as her littermates. Moonkit, Darkkit, Lightingkit, and Salmonkit jumped all over her yowling "wake up." She growled at Moonkit and swatted a paw at her, but Moonkit jump away before it could hit her. Just as she thought she had scared the annoy idiot away. All the sudden Salmonkit slammed his paws on her, flatting her to the sand. Their mother Cinderpelt and their father Firestar walk over to them. "What are you 5 doing you know that Lightingkit should not be on her paw after her incident?""Mom," they all screamed.
Orangekit walk away from the other. It seems so weird, but she could not help that she was different from the others. Moonkit had a light sliver pelt and Darkkit had a dark drown pelt, salmonkit was a light orange and lightingkit she had a black pelt. But I had a dark orange pelt and had white socks. They all look like someone in the family but I did not. Mom says I'm special but I find it hard to believe. She said I look like Firestar, but Firestar says I look like Jake his dad.
2 moon later
Firestar leaped on the large rock and sat by his mate Cinderpelt and stared at the 5 kits below. "Orangekit from this moment you will be known as Orangepaw your mentor will be Brakenfur. Darkkit from this moment you will be known as Darkpaw your mentor will be Greystripes. Salmonkit from this moment you will be known as Salmonpaw your mentor will be Sandstorm. Moonkit from this moment you will be known as Moonpaw your mentor will be Ferncloud. Lightingkit you have chosen the path of a medicine cat". He looked at Featherwing "are you ready to take on an apprentice." "Yes ," meowed Featherwing. Then Lightingkit from this moment you will be known as Lightingpaw. All of the clan cheered "Salmonpaw, Lightingpaw, Orangepaw, Darkpaw, and Moonpaw.
Rapped in all the excitement she had not realized Brakenfur was beside her "how about you and your littermates go find a nest in the apprentice den." Orangepaw and her littermate could not help but smile as Brightpaw lead them to the apprentice den. "I want to sleep near Brightpaw," but then Moonpaw meowed "No I want to sleep next to Brightpaw and since there is only on spot next to her because Swiftpaw on the other side I should get to sleep next to her." Brightpaw said "guy this is easy to decide let us ask Rockpaw." Rockpaw nodded and stated that Moonpaw was going to sleep next to Brightpaw and that Orangepaw had to find somewhere else to sleep. So Orangepaw slept next to Bramblepaw. Who had been fast asleep in his nest after hard day training.
As Orangepaw fell asleep that night she heard a small whisper in the apprentice den. "Shut up your going to keep every on up," after she said that the whispers seemed to stop. Two seconds later the whisper starts again "stop it," Orangepaw hissed. Darkpaw and Swiftpaw whispered "that's not us."Orangepaw look at them in horror "Who was it then?" Not getting an answer I walked out of the apprentice den to see 6 gleam pair of eyes staring at her. One off the gleaming eyes jumps out of it hiding place and tackled Orangepaw then everything went black.
