The sunlight slowly seeped in through the crack in the curtains, causing Kuroo to wake. He yawned rather loudly and looked down to the space beside him on the bed where Kenma still slept. Kuroo smiled to himself when he noticed that Kenma was still curled together in an almost foetal position, soft, rhythmic breaths left his slightly parted lips. He leant down over Kenma, causing a small shadow to cross his face, and pressed a feather light kiss on his boyfriend's temple. Kenma scrunched his nose as he awoke from the action.
"You can go back to sleep if you want darling," Kuroo whispered softly, placing another gentle kiss on his boyfriend's cheek.
"Then why did you wake me up in the first place?" Kenma grumbled quietly as he pulled the duvet back up and in front of his face. Kuroo chuckled a second time before snaking his arms around Kenma and pulling him close to him.
"I didn't mean to," Kuroo pouted "but you were so cute I just couldn't resist kissing you." He then continued placing lots of light kisses all across Kenma's face. Kenma swatted him away until his lips were caught by Kuroo's own and his protests fell. When Kuroo pulled away, he looked down deep into Kenma's eyes.
"You know how much I love you, right?" He said brushing the hair off Kenma's face. Kenma tried to cover his blushing face with his hands but Kuroo pulled his arms down and continued to look straight at him.
"…I, I know," Kenma stuttered, still trying to look away. Kuroo smiled and placed one last kiss on his forehead before settling back down next to him, arm still wrapped around his waist.
"I love you too," Kuroo heard Kenma's muffled voice through the duvet cover. He knew that Kenma loved him whether he said it or not. He was the only one who Kenma trusted and actually spent time with him and there were times when he saw a sparkle in Kenma's eyes and a smile that he knew no one else had seen. Kenma didn't always say he loved him, even though Kuroo knew he did, but the times when he did say it, well, Kuroo lived for those times.
"Yeah, I could easily get used to this," Kuroo said to himself before he closed his eyes and let sleep take over him once more.
