A Place nearby

AN: I was listening to this song called 'A place nearby' by Lene Marlin (I think she wrote it to her friend who died when she was 16!). And before I knew it I had written this. I have no idea where it came from; it was just suddenly on the paper. Strange huh?

I do not own Gilmore girls or Lene Marlin's song.

Logan wiped away the tear that had rolled down his cheek. He needed to be strong for his daughter. He turned his head to look at the sleeping baby next to him. Three months ago everything had been perfect. Three months ago she had been here. But now, now he was alone.

I entered the room
Sat by your bed all through the night
I watched your daily fight
I hardly knew
The pain was almost more than I could bear

It was after Ella had been born she had gotten sick, really sick. It took the doctors two weeks to find out that she had gotten breast cancer. A severe case of breast cancer. There was nothing they could do to stop it.

Everything had gone downhill from that day. She had to stay at the hospital; he had to take care of a newborn baby. He and Ella Spent a lot of the day together with her, so she could get to know her daughter before…before…

Then suddenly she was gone. After three months of fighting, she let go. She gave in to the tiredness, but not before she had said goodbye to her husband and baby daughter. She let go of this world with her husband's strong arms around her, while holding her baby girl in her arms.

All that was a month ago; a month with grieving. A month filled with tears, a month where smiles didn't seem to exist.

And even when I go to sleep
I still can hear your voice
And those words
I never will forget
