Summary: My little addition to this wonderful episode.
"Mom, how many more of these doctors visits do you have, I don't like staying with Mrs. Rennick. She's creepy, and she smells like cleaners." Travis whined dragging a comb halfheartedly through his hair.
"It's only a few more then I should get to feeling better real soon. Besides you only have to stay with her for an hour before Anna's mom picks you up for school. I promise it'll all be back to normal soon." Alex rushed him out of the bathroom and finished getting herself ready.
As they drove there was a comfortable silence in the SUV. It was a good quiet though, one that comes only through time and comfort with another person. The visit to Caramel Ridge the previous weekend had done them all a lot of good. Frances Goren was lucid and calm and she seemed to enjoy Travis. The grotto was also free the weekend of the wedding, which was a double bonus.
"I can come in with you Alex; you really shouldn't have to deal with all of this on your own. I want to be there for you." They had the same talk every day as they pulled up in front of the office. It always ended the same.
"No Bobby for now I need to do this on my own. Dr. Schimer said on the last visit if you want to come you can. You've already done so much for me Bobby, I can't ask this of you too" Alex finished getting opening the door.
"Ok, I'll go to that bookstore around the corner, and have a coffee waiting for you when you come out. Love you Alex." Bobby needed only see the blush on her cheeks and the smile on her lips as he drove off to know that the feelings were reciprocated.
