Tortoise and the Hare: My side of the story

Hi, I'm the Hare, you can call Matt. Everyone misunderstood my story. So here it's, it was a sunny morning in the forest, and I had just woken up. I had stayed up till 3:00 in the morning watching a whole session Rabbit Bob, my favorite show. So, as you can tell I was a tad tired. I dressed and was out of my hole in 10 minutes. While I was walking down the street I heard some tortoises saying that I had lost my mojo, you know my running mojo. So, I decided to challenge one of the tortoises. Only one agreed, Jimmy. I told him to meet me at the beginning of the forest at 4:00, and he told me he would. At 3:50 I start walking, by 4:00 I'm there. So, we start, I'm going strong but I guess I really wasn't thinking about pacing myself. Half-way though decided since I had a nice lead to stop and rest for a few minutes. When I see the tortoise coming up I was fully rested. So, I got up and started to run but I only got a few paces because the hare came up behind me and hit me with a mallet, knocking me out. When I had finally woken up, the tortoise had already won. I tried to tell everyone but they didn't believe me. Now they say that slow and steady wins the race. Well actually hitting your opponent with a mallet wins the race it seems. So now I'm sitting at home telling my story, when I could be running. But, if I go outside my hole I'll get laughed at. Please, please be the first one to believe me!
